Fun afternoon activity

We go here a few times each year. It is very interesting to see the different plants. The flowers are very vibrant and they also have a nice gift shop.

Interning stop. June is a little late to shop for seeds but the self guided tour was nice. Checked out the gardens, goats, orchards, fowl. A hobby farm experience.

Amazing to hear how the passion of one individual to preserve heritage seeds, led to this amazing place. The barn has a great gift shop and unique seeds to purchase. The gardens are fun to stroll thru and see the heritage plants in their full glory.

Scenic beauty while taking in the many varieties of garden plantings. Take time to hike the trail through the white pine up to the apple orchards on the top of the hill.

This was a great place to gain some knowledge about plants and growing. We are attempting a small "hobby farm" at home and this was a great place to ask questions.

Had an hour to kill before attending an event in Decorah. Went out to the Seed Savers Exchange but to do anything other than visit the gift shop would take several hours. Short on time so only did the gift shop and watch a short information video. Nothing else of much interest unless you were buying something. Would be nice... More

My favorite part of each year is going through Seed Savers catalog and seeing all the amazing options for my summer garden. So many varieties unavailable anywhere else.

Went for the heritage tomato tasting. Nice to try lots of varieties in one place. It's unique to Decorah so if you're in town on Labor Day, you should try it.

We visited this place just to see what it is. I am glad we did. All kinds of stuff that grows here and you can get some healthy plants for your table too. They have what you might call a nursery for those plants. You need to visit and see what is going on and you might find something for... More
