Had a French themed dinner in the cafe followed by a tour of the museum, it was lovely! The food was mediocre but had a good experience and the view from the cafe was gorgeous until they pulled the shades.

The museum has many displays, including temporary ones. The one now is "French Moderns: Monet to Matisse..". It is just wonderful. The museum has a lovely gift shop and coffee bar/restaurant. It's a nice place to visit and a wonderful venue for the quad cities.

We recently visited specifically to see a special exhibition (French Moderns). That exhibition was very enjoyable, with artwork we are not likely to see unless we travel to Brooklyn (where most of it came from). While there, we also took in another special exhibition of...More

The French Moderns exhibit is great but the auxiliary events; presentations about painters, authors, music of the time and issues add so much more. Luckily I live in Davenport and can attend many of these events. The Morisot presentation at Butterworth Center on 10/21 and...More

We drove from Minnesota to Davenport, IA to view a special art exhibit drawn from the collection of the Brooklyn Museum -- French Moderns, Monet to Matisse -- that is not scheduled to visit the Twin Cities. What a pleasant surprise. 60 pieces of paintings...More

There were a few negative reviews. And they made me nervous. Guess we all have our opinions. I have been to many NY city museums. And I was amazed at the Figge. It’s not the MOMA, Guggenheim, or MoNH, but seriously for Iowa I was...More

Admission for seniors 60 and over is $6.00. Sometimes a local corporation will underwrite free admission for a month or two but I think that's not in effect now. Their website has tons of info if you care to check it out... More
