The Putnam is a place where people connect with history and ideas by doing, making and experiencing. Our classes and special events are a great complement to our hands-on exhibit galleries. There is always something new to discover and something for everyone at the Putnam.

We were camping in the area and wanted something to do to beat the heat. Just so happened that the King Tut exhibit was happening. We all loved it! We spent so much time in there that we ran out of time to explore the rest of the museum. Guess we'll have to come back.

Our main reason for visiting the museum was for the special King Tut Exhibition. It was very well done and we enjoyed it immensely. Note: This is not the "real" Tut treasure. It is a replication of the original. Awesome to think that of all that gold was found in the excavation. We spent about 1-1/2 hours for this exhibition.

We have a membership to The Putnam Museum and Science Center. We love taking our grandchildren to all the awesome traveling exhibits - they especially loved the King Tut exhibit and The Princess Diana exhibit. The IMAX theater is an experience in itself, we love the giant screen! The childrens science workshop and play area is fascinating. A big plus... More

We took our 17 yr old granddaughter here to see the King Tut exhibit. We spent a total of 4 hours here. It was amazing. We each had a hand held audio device that thoroughly explained everything in the display. The artifacts are reproductions but you would never know it. We also enjoyed the big screen 3D movie about the... More

We brought our kids ages14, 7, 3&1 here because it was raining and humid. It really surprised us how much there was to see and interact with. It was fun for all age groups! There was a lot to do without feeling overwhelmed! I recommend for families or as just a day date!!

This museum is completely hands on focused on science and technology. Kids of all ages will enjoy this place. There are several areas to explore and they have special exhibits and IMAX movies. Definitely worth it.

We visited during the King Tut exhibition. Would definitely recommend. It was a little expensive but the replicas of the Egyptian artifacts were very good and the audio commentary that went with it was well done. We ran out of time to explore the whole museum but it looked like it would keep both kids and adults busy for a... More

I was utterly enchanted by this exhibit. I loved how you got to "discover" the tomb just as Howard Carter did. The (self guided) tour takes 90 minutes but I took 2 hours as I was having such a wonderful time learning new things. The museum it's self lent it's self to exploring all kinds of things. There are elevators... More

We visited here mainly for the King Tut exhibit, and before we knew it 4 hours had gone by and we were still exploring this museum. It is a history and science museum all in one, with history exhibits and hands on science exhibits. It also has an Imax theater which we didn't partake in on this trip but looked... More
