About
What started in 1994 as a family project has blossomed into a local attraction for all ages to enjoy. Customers can pick their own apples, strawberries, cherries, peaches, apricots, and pumpkins. We also host many events such as our BlueGrass Festival (Labor Day Weekend), Hot Air Balloon Festival (usually the 2nd weekend in September), and Pumpkin Fest in October. Families can enjoy a bite to eat in our cafe or take home one of our signature sauces, jellies, or jams from the store. Local favorites from the cafe include hot apple cider doughnuts, homemade fries, and ice cold apple cider slushies. We also offer tractor rides into the orchard for picking as well as a playground and corn maze for the kids.

we went there on a fall afternoon, ....they were making wine / crushing grapes...we were informed when they were actually crushing the grapes...we went around, and watched...the owner explained every step...this was soooo cool . after the explanation, we went back in and tried several wines...all are pretty good,...I let my wife pick out the ones for home,...a very tranquil, and relaxing afternoon...I have seen some reviews complain about the dust.........well...you are gonna be in the COUNTRY....so, lime dust, from the road, is a given,.....If ya cant appreciate where things are made,..........maybe,....just maybe,....ya otta stay in the city,...and think the whole world is sparkling clean.

I am always looking for fun & different things to do with my love bugs (grandchildren) when I'm hanging out with them on the weekends. I happened upon Ditmars Orchard, from a Groupon offered for the wine & cheese tasting, also offered at Ditmars. Ditmars also has a vineyard. Upon further exploration, I learned the Orchard was open to the public - so on Sunday we ventured out to Ditmars!

The Orchards are simply awesome! There are no fees to enter the Orchards, you simple pay for what you pick & purchase in the store. We spent about 30 minutes picking strawberries & about 45 minutes in the playground. The weather was perfect & the love bugs had a great time picking & playing at Ditmars Orchard. #StrawberrySunday

This is a very good orchard. They have a gift shop by the entrance where you can purchase a lot of different items like apple cider, jams, jelly's, etc. They keep the place very well maintained.

We went to the Orchard early sunday morning (at opening time ) and it was already packed . The parking waspace is minuscule and on the grass . We were interested to pick all kind of apples since they announce on their website over 30 varieties of apples . We went mid October and we had access to only a dozen of different varieties of apples . Most of the aisles were NOT well maintained . Tons of smashed apples everywhere, millions of bees and insects around them..We only wanted to hand pick apples but EVERYONE had to buy thepark bracelet at 12$ to get in ! there was an additional fee for the bag and the apples (extra 10$ ) . I was so frustrated that we almost left the place . But since we drove a long way to pick apples we stayed . there were few outdoor games for the kids .

I've visited Ditmar's a few times and I'm always delighted. It's fun to watch children discover the delight of an orchard. There is a nice variety of apples and the tractor ride is a delight -- most adults who hay ever been on a hay rack ride will enjoy this and two dollars is not outrageous. Today's visit included the special treat of watching kites fly.

This is the most inconsistant place I have even been to. I was a playgroup director in Omaha for 3 years and this was an oft requested playgroup, so I went each year. For me it is unimpressive. There is a fun playground, a hayrack ride to the apples, and a little maze you can walk through. It is a fun little activity, but for the price it is not much. Also, I found that sometimes the people working there were easy to work with and other times they wer not. One year aftedr we had reservations, an agreement on a group rate, and showed up, they changed the price quoted at the last minute as the moms with their small children were standing there waiting to go in. It was horendous.

Given this experience I would usually give a 1 star, but the next year the service was better and the activity is fun for families with small kids!

Very welcoming environment. We had a light lunch (wraps) made with fresh tomatoes by a great server (Ashley). Following that the two of us sampled the 13 wines and 4 ciders. Even when a group of about 8 came in to same, we got individual attention (description of the wines and backstory on the bames - usually family members of the owners). A family owned and operated facility, it was well worth the visit!

We had the chance to stop by and do a wine tasting and a few glasses and a small cheese tray from the Groupon coupon. The owner told us the stories about the names on the wines and it was very interesting. She did a wonderful job explaining the wines and the tastes. The views were wonderful as well. We also tried the Apple Doughnuts and OMG they were awesome. Well worth the drive!

I love this place. My wife can not get enough of it.
There are amazing pies they sell, plus they sell food for eating there in their restaurant...
The wine slushies are absolutely worth the visit by themselves.
And the cider.... The cider is life. Trust me, you want a few gallons of cider fresh from the orchard.
