Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa - Since 2002, the multi-purpose Mid-America Center has been the Midwest’s premier entertainment and corporate meetings hub, linking the Council Bluffs and Omaha area to live entertainment, sporting events, and special functions of all kinds. Attended the Van Gogh Immersive Experience at the Mid American Center, tickets are expensive ($50 each) but it was a very cool experience.

The Center was great. The lighting was very good and there was plenty of room in the big room where we played.

Went to the center for a bridge tournament. Although I had nothing to do with providing this venue, the accommodations and people working there were fantastic

Staff there left a lot to desired. Leaving the venue was a bit of a "chinese fire drill". No monitoring, No crowd control, but thankfully no one was in a hurry.

Our high school team participated in the VEX U.S. Robotics Open last weekend. The Mid-America Center was perfectly set up to accommodate such a large number of nerdy teenagers and their parents & coaches. I look forward to returning to Council Bluffs in future years.
Travel tip: if you can spare a couple hours, make sure you don't miss the Pottawattamie County Squirrel Cage Jail and the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. I heard the Strategic Air Command museum was also great, though we didn't visit it.

This is a great facility for many types of events. They were running a rodeo when we showed up, and rolled right into our event the next morning. They are very well set up. The management and staff were very friendly and professional, smoothing out a multitude of potential difficulties.
We cannot say enough good things about our experience here!

I have been here twice. The first visit wasn't so great; this second one was much better. Good seating, acoustics and sound.

It was a nice concert and conference center. Lots of space and the arena was large with comfortable seating. It was clean and plenty of parking.
