I have eaten my lunch here many times. It is well maintained by the city parks dept. I love to people watch. A lot of people visit this park for many reasons. Weddings, political gatherings, Award ceremonies, picnics. In the summer they have had BBQ cook offs, carnivals, outdoor movies. Just a great place to hang out and beautiful lights during the Holidays.

We saw this park and fountain basically as a drive by. All around the park was metered parking, so we just didn't plan on spending that much time to get out and walk around, but we did stop to admire the lovely fountain.

This small park has a space-age style fountain in the middle and has a poignant war memorial at one end honoring local citizens killed in American wars. It’s a well-kept park, but it only occupies one block and it’s pretty limited.

Parked by this park while we went to a museum. When we walked back we decided to walk thru the park which we found to be very pretty and took lots of pictures. My husband noticed a meth pipe on the ground and some odd people walking around. Made us wonder if it was safe or not.

This is a nice, relaxing park in downtown. There a various squirrel statues that make the park fun and whimsical. The fountain is pretty, and I bet beautiful when lit at night.

The park is an oasis in the middle of Council Bluffs. It has a very unique fountain in the middle and benches to relax.

Baylis Park isn’t a very big park but it is a beautiful place. There seems to be something going on most of the time. It is also a starting point for people to meet up and do different events. Nice place to sit and read a book or listen to music or just sit and enjoy. Very nice little park.

I grew up in Council Bluffs and reme.ber visiting Bayliss Park numerous times. I went back to this quiet little park and I can't get over how much it has changed! The fountain is very artistic now, and I loved seeing the statues of the squirrels. The veterans memorial is a very nice tribute. I can't wait to spend some more peaceful time here.

I have loved Bayliss Park all my life. I grew up in Council Bluffs, although I no longer live there, but I go back a couple times a year to visit family. The new fountain is pretty spectacular. It's such a nice place to sit and ponder in the summer, and the lights at Christmas are really nice. Well worth a drive around if not a nice walk around the park.

I am not 100% certain that there is a set date yet for the fountain to be turned on - Usually this occurs towards the end of April as out last freeze is usually somewhere around the 1st of May - It may also be tied to the CB Pride Day Parade too -The fountain at Bayliss Park has unique water features, patterns, and an impressive light display. The center of the fountain features a sculpture with water shooting out the top. The sculpture, titled Well Spring, was created by Brower Hatcher from Providence, RI.
