We visited this absolutely beautiful arboretum early on an autumn Sunday morning. What it lacks in size, Bickelhaupt makes up for in the variety of the collection and the obvious care given to the grounds. Garden "rooms" grace the rolling terrain inviting visitors to linger and enjoy the peaceful beauty. Though it's not the easiest place to find, this gem... More

The grounds here are simply amazing... a wide variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. Given the number of evergreen trees, I am looking forward to returning in the winter... I can only imagine how majestic the grounds will look with fresh snow! If you are in the area, be sure to stop by.

Nice place for a peaceful walk or to explore nature with the kids. Very beautiful but it would be nice if plants were marked better.

This beautiful area is a treasure. It is more welcoming than many arboretums I've visited and the collection is surprisingly large. I was astounded at the size and variety of the conifer collection! We picked up a map of sorts and found there were few regular paths. The lawns were beautiful, but walking was difficult because of the rolling hills... More

A great place to visit to see how things grow in the area. Plants, trees and herbs have been there for years, so very realistic growth of plants. Knowledgeable staff.

Free admission and a wonderful place to visit. You'll want to visit during different seasons to see the variety of plants and flowers at their peak. A large collection of hostas and daffodils were the highlight of our recent trip. There's an amazing collection of conifers - be sure to check out the waterfall if you visit during the late... More

I love going to visit this place. In the middle of a city there's an absolute Secret Garden. The trees are amazing, my favourite being the weeping willow with a lovely bench under it's waving branches. There are so many wonderful, gorgeous flowers everywhere, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. It's the perfect place to go for a bit... More

It's a bit hard to find, but this place has beautiful trees, plants, and shrubs. A butterfly garden, too! An easy walk, too!

The Bickelhaupt Arboretum or "Arb" as it is affectionately known, is the single best spot to get out in nature in the city of Clinton. More than a park, it feels like a nature preserve right in the middle of town. The 14-some acres are laid out on hilly terrain with a small creek winding through it. Visitors can stroll... More

We found ourselves with a couple hours to spare and found a brochure at the visitor's center. We had a lovely relaxing walk through the trees at the Arboretum. The variety of conifers is outstanding.
