Montauk is the best preserved victorian that I have ever visited. It is well kept and everything is original. You feel like you are visiting this wealthy family and enjoying the life. The guides are well informed and tell interesting tales.

For a small museum this was a precious place to enjoy. Many artifacts which included period furnishings, dolls, war weaponry and documents. Spend a couple hours at least.

Great trip in time, to early days of Iowa settlement. Excellent stewardship of materials and furnishings from the period of settlement of the state.
