Been to some pretty awesome garden-parks in big cities. The Central Gardens of North Iowa in Clear Lake, Iowa is right there with places like Olbrich Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin. Variety of well-maintained and manicured plants, children's activities and many scenic walkways. No admission charge.

The beautiful gardens are free to visit and wll worth the stop. They are very impressive for a small city. The gardens are located on the former site of a public school.

We went on a weekend and it was not busy at all. Based on the location I really believe it doesn't ever get crowded.
