This block-long museum, fully staffed by volunteers, has under its roof - an extensive hat collection; tractor & farm equipment one-of-a-kind finds; an international teddy bear museum; more than 6,000 farm toy collection; and a walk down the streets of old.

Talk about a DIAMOND in the middle of nowhere. We were welcomed by two of the nicest ladies. They were very proud of their beautiful museum and have every right to be. Very clean and arranged so elegantly. We loved all the rooms and how they were decorated. So much to see. We will definitely return when our grandchildren are older if not before. Thank you it was well worth our trip to find this.

We took our 3 grandsons to this museum. With a tribute to the history of rural Iowa, this is a must see. The volunteers were able to answer questions, and helped make it interesting for kids. Amazing gem in a small town!

We came to see Big Bud before it left. The 4H exhibit and the museum are still worth the visit when it’s gone. There’s something for everyone to enjoy there.

We stopped at the Heartland Museum mainly to see the Big Bud tractor. Oh my goodness! There was so much to see!!! This was probably my favorite stop on our family vacation and it was a stop we only planned to be at for an hour. We spent close to 3 hours and probably could have spent more time. Such a neat place to visit. We did get to see Big Bud, but there is so much more. Lots of tractors, horse drawn carriages, equipment, etc. There were also rooms staged to emulate the Victorian ere, the 1930's and 1950's. Lot's of things to see and learn. Did you know the main designer of Boyd's Bears is from Clarion? Or how about the "Hat Lady" with a collection of thousands of hats? Yep, she's from Clarion too! Parts of their collections are all on display. Did you know the 4-H emblem was founded in Clarion? Lot's of cool, cool stuff to see. We highly recommend the stop and will be going back ourselves.

We visited this museum while we were in Clarion. I wish we had had more time as it is excellent! We spent a little over an hour here, and could have easily spent at least 2.

There is real quality antiques here. Lots of equipment from the 1920s through 60s and lots of older stuff too and a few newer tractors. There is lots of older tools and stuff for the ladies too like hats and household items.
