We went to Charles City Iowa to see the famous waterway on the Cedar River. Heavy rains have swollen many Iowa rivers and we had hoped to kayak above the rapids and have a leisurely paddle. Dark clouds loomed and rain took the paddle out...More

Loved this place, Charles City nailed it with this set of features. I wish I was 12 years old and lived 2 blocks away. And someday this park will make a champion. I am definitely coming back to Charles City.

This is a beautiful park. You can see the pride of the town here. We fully enjoyed walking it with the dog.

This park has kayaking, a bike trail and beautiful geese and ducks and a swan to photograph, feed or just enjoy as you sit on the cedar river. There is benches and tables to enjoy a picnic.

I am an Iowa native that returned recently to visit family. Each time we visit we try to find something new to do in the state. Tubing on the WhiteWater was great fun. We plan on making this a part of every summer visit!!!!
