Cool Food Court

Wonderful incubator of small retail businesses. Many restaurants with tasty vegan and vegetarian options. Indoor and outdoor seating. Live entertainment in the park outside.

We came with high expections and the places was empty. We were in and out in less than ten minutes. Hopefully after Covid the place will fill up again.

Not much to see, but the cookies made up for it!
Mar 2021
Mostly empty, very few vendors. Too bad because it has the potential to be a fun place to go. The highlight was the bakery in the back right corner. I don't remember the name but she was a delightful lady that had butter cookies that were SO good! We debated on buying a single cookie or getting the 6 pack. Decided on the 6 pack with the intention of sharing with the rest of the family but after we tasted one we didn't share them with ANYONE!!!! Bwahahaha!!!!!! They were a little pricey but so worth it! I'd go back there just for those. Maybe after COVID it will have more vendors.

Sad food experience lots of Vacant spots.

There are very few choices for food. Lots of open space with no vendors. This use to be a great place to visit with Russian Delight crepes, Greek food choices, Grateful Crepe, Sandwich vendor. Don't go if your looking for food choices you will be very disappointed.

Food vendors and merchants
Mar 2021
We went to Cedar Rapids on Saturday and stopped by here. Due to COVID there weren't as many vendors that have been there in the past. It was still fun to wander around and I happened upon a merchant that I had received a gift from and so I was happy to make a purchase from her.

I drove up from Iowa City to go to the Market with visions of a substantial place but the Market is actually pretty small (25 stalls?). It only took about 15 minutes to walk through the whole Market. I did have some good pizza at the Melting Bite,

An up-and-coming area
Mar 2020 • Family
The kids & I took scooters from here, down along the river, over to the Art Museum, & back again in about 2 hours (stopping a lot for pictures of unique sites). We loved seeing such new & modern buildings popping up in this part of town.

It's an interesting place to visit
Jan 2020
There are a lot of stands that are interesting and they have some cool stuff to buy. I would definitely go there for a visit. Maybe it was just the food choices we had. I had an egg salad croissant that was very bland. She did offer to "spice it up" but I thought that would add heat. If I'd known it would only add flavor, I might've taken her up on it. The croissant was cold and hard. My husband got a sandwich from the grilled cheese place. It was pulled pork and some sort of cheese and it was just okay. A member of our party had the butter chicken from the Indian place and it was good.

Good Choice for Dining Variety
Sep 2019
This place is like an emporium market with choices for food vendors or shopping at a kiosk. There were four of us and everyone wanted a different type of food so NewBo City Market suited us perfectly. The prices were not cheap but we were happy with the food quality. The place is very popular and the part of the city where it is located was nice looking.
