My great uncle was a Mason but I knew very little about what he did or about the Masonic community in general. I visited the museum just out of curiosity and was quite impressed with the rich history and the items that have been recovered and put on display. I'm interested now in learning more about the society.

An outstanding collection of Masonic reading material, much dating back 150 - 200 years. Truly a gem, well kept stacks, and knowledgeable staff. Building also serves as the offices of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, AF&AM, serving all the lodges of the state of Iowa. The library also provides a small space for the Linn County,(Iowa), Genealogical Society. Well worth... More

Visited with a brother in law who is a Mason. Masonic items as well as other historic displays. No admission fee, very helpful staff in a beautiful building.

When the masonic had a banquet they alway get the best and that is usually La Quinta or comfort inns. We would go to the museum for our meetings and for the rewards ceremonies and it would be for two to three days there. We also have family that lived there and we stay inn the hotel also oursleves.

I love going here. The staff are very helpful and very kind. The museum is open to everyone. Seeing the handmade Masonic items was a pleasure in it's self.

Not well known, but probably the best Masonic Library in the world. The Museum has artifacts from the 1600's. If you are interested in libraries or museums, this is the one.

I'm from a rule town in Ohio so this was a great find. Had to ask to open museum but otherwise what was inside was very well put together. Great masonry work too.

Very helpful staff for Genealogy. We were able to search several records and microfiche. The archives are in the basement of the Masonic Lodge

My brother is a former Grand Master for the State of Texas. I took him to the museum on one of his past visits. What an amazing museum and what exciting displays. I am a Mason myself but I can tell you we spent a couple of hours just looking at everything... Loved it!! as did my brother.

A great collection of artifacts and books. I don't know when I would have time to read all the books, but great for referance.
