First visit for my wife & me to the CRMA, and I found myself drawn more to the interior architecture than I did to the art exhibits themselves. The central atrium area has lots of natural light keeping the tropical growth green, and providing shadowy...More

Museum has an excellent collection of Grant Wood's works, including the "Woman with plants" and the "Mourner's Bench." There is a nice art library with comfortable chairs to sit and study. Carefully check their hours before you go.

Grant Wood lived and worked in Cedar Rapids for part of his life. His paintings are a joy to see. Excellent gift shop. Other artists are on display as well, such as Mauricio Lasansky and Marvin Cone.

Excellent collection of Roman art and Grant Wood. Great place to spend a few hours at while in Cedar Rapids. The building itself is beautiful.

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art has a wonderful space that could be used perfectly to have much more pieces to exhibit. One of the problems is that it is limited to show the art of Iowans and therefore is very limited. If the Museum...More

The grant Wood section is one of a kind. For a local attraction it is high quality. Good to introduce children to art prior to a major place in Chicago

Smaller museum centered around native son, Grant Wood. More of an emphasis on his earlier works, but has several of my favorites, his undulating Iowa landscapes! Located in the old public library.

We were mostly interested in the Grant wood collection, but were soon intrigued by the other exhibitions, Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Well worth a visit.

We had trouble figuring out the parking in front of this museum. I went inside and asked for help and they told me how to get to their free parking in back. That was a pleasant surprise. The next one was that the museum was...More

Fairly small museum but nice collections. Building has been expanded from an original library, portions of which have been preserved, including a reading room which is a nice touch. There are however, some under-utilized spaces.
