enjoy a piece of history!
very nice addition to the downtown Burlington IA area, It is spacious & not too big or too small, they even have the old popcorn machine in there from the sunny side house! they have movie specials at a very reasonable rate thru out the year which is great for a date nite on a budget!

Nicely restored 1930s movie theater

This 700 seat 1937 art deco movie theater has been restored to all its glory from the matinee lights around the marquee to the neon side lights, velour seats and velvet curtains. There is a bar area down the lobby hallway and restrooms, while the actual lobby boasts a small glass candy bar cabinet, a popcorn machine, and sodas. They only show movies on Saturdays but this venue is also used for booking traveling talent such as singers, bands, and comedians. Definite nostalgia!

Elvis Rock and Remember Tribute
I have liked every show i have been to at the Capital Theater I go quite often It is very good intertainment I plan on going to the David Kroll Christmas show

A previous movie theater beautifully restored. Hosts various types of entertainment. Amazing architecture preserved for all to enjoy.

Movie Nite
The theater has been refurbished. It is very comfortable. I and a friend went to the movie Dirty Dancing...cheap night $5 plus popcorn and a drink. On occasion the theater offers double features and free movies.

Old theater comes to life
This is one of Iowas older theaters refurbished to hold all kinds of entertainment in it. Worth the trip to see what is there that week.

Nice renovation of the theatre I attended as a child
The renovations are wonderful. The setting is perfect for attending the symphony, and the adjacent reception area is great for small parties.

Solo
The Burlington Capitol Theater is truly amazing. Beautifully restored Art Deco movie theater and live performance venue. Old movies and new music. A very fun and interesting place to visit.
