We operate as “By Appointment Only” please call in advance as we will have to set a location for meeting depending on what you are looking to do. We offer Stand Up Paddle Board rentals and lessons. Call us for details on classes, paddle tours, and hourly rentals. Some options are: Hourly rentals Lesson and Paddle Time 2.5 hours total Sunset Paddle (private sessions available) Full Moon Paddle (private sessions available) Birthday or Family party

I own my own boards and was planning a trip to Patoka Lake and came across SUPciety in the process of looking into paddling on the lake. I reached out to Ryan for suggestions on good places to paddle and he was incredibly helpful. He responded to my text the same day and emailed me more details the following day. I'm so thankful to have some advice from a local before heading out on the water. If you're looking for a paddling experience near Lake Patoka, be sure to give Ryan a call. You won't regret it!

This is a different kind of review- we own our SUP's and are exploring lakes near home. We are exploring local lakes- and learning not all lakes are SUP welcoming! I called Ryan at SUPciety in hopes of some good info on where to put in etc. on Patoka. He answered immediately, took time to tell us some great ramp options, benefits to different places, and some great sites to board to for wildlife, scenery, etc...but warning of the distances to paddle etc...SO AWESOME! It was more than I was hoping for even! Thanks and God bless your business!!

Awesome experience. My husband. LeRoy and I were able to schedule a 2 hour slot for a lesson and paddling. We are in our mid-50s and had a great experience. Ryan was patient and easy going. Answered our questions about the boards. Not far from French Lick. Perfect evening experience. We will do it again when we come back. He takes pictures that he emails to you for free.

I had wanted to try stand up paddleboarding for a while, but I had no idea I would love it this much. Ryan and Ginger were extremely laid back and patient (even when we got lost and were an hour late), and were the perfect mix with Ryan having many years experience and Ginger being new enough to paddleboarding that she is still in touch with what it is like to try it for the first time. Ryan had us all paddling on our own in less than 10 minutes. It's hard to believe I got a workout doing something so soothing and relaxing. I literally felt like I found something I had been missing, even though I had never actually tried SUP before. Thanks, Ryan, for providing this amazing opportunity!

My wife and I have been considering buying paddleboards. We enjoy kayaking and had never been on a paddleboard so before we made the investment, we thought it would be a good idea to try it out. I found Ryan and SUPciety through a Google search of paddleboard rentals in Indiana. I sent him an email on Wednesday and he responded promptly with information about his services. I asked if he was available on Sunday and we agreed to meet at 11. I should mention that Ryan and his wife have a new baby and his wife is currently preparing for an important exam so he had to make some last minute arrangements to accommodate us. At 10:50 on Sunday he was there waiting. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn and did not get there until 11:15. As part of our trip Ryan gave us a short lesson before we started. He was thorough in his instructions, pointed us in the direction of some interesting sites and we were off. We had great time. While I would not say we are experts, we managed to not fall off the board and paddled Patoka Lake for a couple of hours. Ryan sent us some pics that he took of our first SUP experience which was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend contacting Ryan whether you are an experienced paddler visiting the area or locals like we are looking for something new. We had so much fun that we will most likely be buying our own boards soon but if we do not, we will be back for another trip with Ryan.

I posted a review a day or so after our lesson with Ryan. We are back home and have a stand up paddle board outing on Monday. As you see from the photos I have attached (From Ryan) that my daughter did great. Swim suit didn't even get wet. I on the other hand.. After trial and error and ungraceful falls I finally got up! Thanks again Ryan for the lesson and encouragement to keep getting out there!!! Ryan sent us some photos he took the night of our lesson...I get home tonight and have 60 photos in my inbox! How awesome is that!! A lesson, reasonably priced, great instructor or great with the old age group and kids, and he takes pictures!!!

What to do with teenagers! Take them paddle boarding at Patoka with Ryan.
Easy to learn, no equipment to buy, no license necessary.....just show up and be ready for fun. The area is easily accessed, no crowds, close to a sandy beach, beautiful rolling hills and paddling on a big lake, falling, laughing, and doing more paddling. Ryan is a patient, instructor, non-threatening and coaches to success. All ages can quickly learn this healthy sport. If you get tired, sit down on the board, rest, and get up when ready. No failure,only fun.

Ryan was a great guide and provided a wonderful experience for our family of 7. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Ryan was involved and helpful but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy the lake and our family time together. He also followed up with pictures, which was a great bonus as well! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who likes a little activity and relaxation!

I have been out with Ryan a couple times now and it is my favorite way to get out on some water and see nature from a different angle. Way easier than getting into the water than kayaking or canoeing. Ryan is very knowledgeable of the area and was able to walk me through as a first timer with ease.

My husband and I love to Stand Up Paddleboard while we are on vacation. We live in Southwest Indiana and have been considering buying boards for excursions closer to home.
I found Ryan, SUPciety Indiana, thru Facebook. I messaged him and told him we were looking to do some SUP in Indiana and asked for recommendations. He gave us some options where he could meet us, reasonable hourly rates and provided everything we needed.
We met him for an early evening paddle on Patoka Lake. He was prompt, prepared, and professional. He took us to some great spots in the fingerlings of the lake to see some waterfalls, and wildlife. He took pics while were out and emailed them to us to capture the memories. He even got some great shots of the bald eagle we saw.
Ryan even recommended a great spot to picnic and watch the sunset over the lake afterward.
I would definitely recommend SUPciety to anyone wanting to SUP in Indiana.

Do you have to make reservations? I'm from 3.5 hrs away and will be traveling to the area to enjoy the nearby ziplines. I would like to try to get in some paddle boarding while we're there as we've never tried it.

Yes I run by reservations, that doesn't mean you can't call an hour before you want to go though. I work a full time job and this is something I do in spare time. I also do not have a store front to go to.
Making a reservation ahead of time is the best so we can figure out all the details, what ramp to meet at, what you or your group are looking to do or see, if this just a lesson and time to play around or is this a tour, stuff like that.
