We had heard of the train display so we decided to check it out. It is amazing. Tons of details to look at. If your kids like trains this will keep busy for at hour and a half to 2 hours. The overall Arboretum is quote large and has several trails to explore. We enjoy nature and gardens so this was very nice. Some areas are not as expansive and some are under rehab. Overall a good place for a family visit.

Gabis Arboretum (formerly Taltree) is so awesome! It's the perfect place to let the kids run around and explore nature! There is a music garden with instruments; an adventure garden with mini houses to play in; and best of all, the Railway Garden (open Fri.-Sun., May-October). All of the volunteers and employees we've met have been extremely friendly and helpful. At $10 per carload, you can bring the whole family into the arboretum for an extremely reasonable price! And if you plan on going often, membership is only $50/year! Worth every penny!

Had family in town and decided to go check out taltree, since the kids always have a blast there. We were disappointed that they're not running the trains with covid, I have no idea why, there's plenty of space to distance yourself. Also disappointed to see they got rid of the animals.

I went mainly to see the magnificent outdoor train set and it was awesome. The rest of the place is very nice very pretty and if you have younger children there is a farm area that they would enjoy. Actually my wife and I enjoyed it to we sat and had lunch at the picnic benches near the farm. The gardens are very nice no matter what the season. There is a nice walking trail through the fields. Now back to the trains one of the best train setups I’ve ever seen probably a city block and half long and 1/2 block wide. It takes you around the country and is set up beautifully many different areas are shown including Lincoln’s funeral train and the old west I loved and and will revisit this place often

Been coming here for years, but this time brought my 3 year old nephew from Cleveland who is obsessed with trains. He loved it, there is also some animals and kid friendly activities there. The landscaping is really starting to fill in around the train exhibit.

Took our grandson to Gabis Arboretum this month. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we really enjoyed the entire experience. The railway garden was amazing...at least eight trains were running, but the details in creating a Civil War camp, a limestone quarry, etc. kept us just circling. Additionally, there was a Halloween trail by the children's play area, a chidren's garden, an exhibit of scarecrows made by different local groups, bird watching opportunities, etc. We stayed over three hours, and could have spent the entire day.

Daily admission is a little high, but membership is a bargain if you live nearby. We intend to go next year during a different season.

I attended a wedding at TallTree and it was absolutely perfect! They even provided golf cart transport for the elderly grandparents! The setting was beautiful and in keeping with the couple's interests. The birds provided lovely accompaniment for the ceremony. There are also very nice places to take a walk and enjoy the outdoors.

You must come and see this place. The train exhibit is the best thing. We talked to the manager of the trains and he was very nice. Also, had another man tell us about the trains and how everything works. Loved it. Explore the rest of the park also.
