This is a beautiful farm. It has the potential to be incredible. I have visited twice, once last summer and today, both visits were for strawberry picking, lunch, for the play area and to shop at the farm market. Both times that I have visited a member of staff decided to take it upon themself to scold my 2 year old child which was very strange and extremely uncomfortable.

1. For standing on a chair, while being held at the waist by my wife.
2. For grabbing a loaf of bread that I asked her to pick up to purchase.

I contacted Huber’s about it was told that they appreciated the feedback but suggested that I should have brought my crying child to a manager during my visit for a resolution. Strange.

The “farm market” is 90% outsourced products with a Huber’s label. The quality of ingredients in the food and most of the produce is equal to that of what you find at your local chain grocery store not actually grown or made on the farm. A lot of the labels have low quality ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, etc. not the “farmers market” ingredients that you expect...

This is an okay place to visit to pick fruit for fun, drink wine and feed ducks. Skip the restaurant, skip the farm market and pass on the play area where they will charge you to watch your kids play.

Was a beautiful place to visit. We did the wine tasting but the employee seemed preoccupied and very inattentive. We did buy wine but after the tasting the patron then has to go downstairs and find the wines and then stand in line again to purchase. Would be nice to be able to get it after the tasting in the tasting room.

Also the distance to walk from parking seems a little far especially for those with distance walking issues. And if carrying a case of wine.

We got there late on a Tuesday afternoon so luckily the wine tasting area did not have many people. You can choose from a spirits tasting or a wine tasting ($15 each for 7 tastes). People were super nice but seemed tired and like didn’t really want to serve us…asked about the wine club and didn’t get a ton of info on w to sign up. They said they had a busy day, which I understand, but seems silly to lose potential recurring business over this. However, they were very nice and the spirits and wine were very good. I would recommend this bid you have time to stop!

Excellent winery, farm market, and creamery. The wine tastings were $15 for 7 tastings, a little on the the expensive side but the beautiful setting made up for it. The wine was very good. We enjoyed a delicious cheese box that was a bargain at $10 with a generous amount of cheese, sausage, crackers and fruit. The cheese was some of the best I have ever had! We will definitely be visiting again!

Visited on a Sunday around noon. We first stopped at Joe Huber's, not realizing the winery & distillery are in a different location. Granted, it's fall & the height of pumpkin & apple season. There were so many people, & so much going on that we ending up walking in & walking right back out. Drove more than an hour out of our way to stop during a trip, and we didn't get to enjoy any of it. At the winery, there was no less than 3,000 visitors at that time. There were signs on the doors indicating 3 separate businesses having company parties there, we saw people carrying balloons for a 50th birthday party, and it looked like some sort of outdoor service was about to start as well. There were families taking wagon rides to the fields & the market was bursting with people. There was so much chaos, we couldn't find a single staff member to ask questions to. I would not recommend going in the fall if you want to enjoy the wine or distillery, we felt the entire place was very commercial & they had much too many things going on in 1 small area to be enjoyable.

What a great spot!! Fun for all occasions- date day, family outing, work function, etc. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there! We enjoyed sampling the Seyval Blanc and Bourbon Slushy while strolling the beautiful grounds. We fed the ducks by the pond while the kids all played football on the nearby grass. We then spent the majority of our time in the Family Farm Park. Admission is very reasonably priced at $6 a person ($5 a person for groups of 6 or more) and there is so much for the kids (of all ages) to do in there! We had dinner reservations for the Family Restaurant on the grounds, otherwise we would have loved to stay longer and explore more!

As for the restaurant, it is known for Family Style dishes. We had coleslaw, Waldorf salad, green beans, honey ham and mashed potatoes. I thought these dishes were all average to good. However, the fried biscuits with apple butter were amazing. The country fried chicken was outstanding! And I found myself eating the chicken and dumplings for breakfast the next morning- so good!

We will definitely be returning and spending the whole day here! There is so much more we didn't explore like the Ice Cream Factory and picking the current season's fresh produce.

we go to get pumpkins every year. The lady behind the bar taking our food orders had her mask down under her chin. There is no social distancing. People everywhere and masks were minimal. Seems like you all are more worried about how much money you make. Rode out to the pumpkin patch cause we had the grandkids. Again, not many masks. No wonder Indiana has such a high covid rate. I am sure alot of it is coming from places like yours. I am sorry my daughter talked us in to going.

We visited the store, the cafe, the ice cream shop and tasted wines and spirits in the loft. They did it all just right. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, so many things to choose from, excellent wine and spirits. We took quite a few home. We weren’t even there in the busy season and we loved it.

We did a distillery tour & wine tasting. This was an AMAZING experience! Unfortunately we were about 5 minutes late and the 2pm tour group had already left. We assumed we wouldn’t be able to do the tour and would have to reschedule. Christian Huber himself took us on a tour and tasting! He is amazing and so knowledgeable regarding distilling and the wine making process. He was knowledgeable regarding the components of the wine, flavor profiles and pairings. I learned so much and really enjoyed myself! You get to sample 8 wines during the tour, a balanced mix of dry and sweet wines so there is something for everyone. You also get a wine glass to take home and options to taste more wines that weren’t on the tour in the bar above the distillery. It was also very affordable for all that is included! We ended up buying two bottles of wine that we tasted on the tour. We then went up the road to Joe Hubers restaurant for dinner. Food was amazing!!! Prices are high BUT the portion sizes are huge and the food is delicious. They had all of their fall specials going, so I had a glass of the apple sangria. It was absolutely delicious! They did not sell it by the bottle but I would have bought a bottle if they did! We then went to the farmers market and ice cream shop. I had the sugar cookie ice cream. It was delicious and the texture was perfect! 1 scoop is huge and was plenty for desert! The shop also offers a large selection of cheese. The farmers market has a very very wide selection of products. From homemade pies, breads and cakes to candies and dip mixes, as well as pre-picked fruits and vegetables. You can self pick fruits and vegetables here as well. We bought several different types of candies as well as the cheddar grain bread and pumpkin roll. We spent about 3 hours here total. It was a really fun experience and I would definitely come back another day!!! Customer service was great and it was great meeting Christian Huber. I highly recommend spending a day here!

Starlight Distillery on property has excellent tasting experience. Wide selection of spirits to taste and buy with knowledgeable staff. Visitors may taste variety of wine and spirits at reasonable price for tasting. No rushing and may taste at leisurely pace. Cafe downstairs offers wide variety of reasonably priced light foods- salads, sandwiches, pizza for families. I did not visit the farm market side of property but facility is a must-see destination that caters to individuals and families. Highly recommend.
