About
About Divers Republic There are many dive schools on Curaçao and we are one of them. Which of the diving schools is good or bad? How big are the groups? What are they all doing? Can they meet my wishes? and so there are several questions that can be asked. We at DIVERS REPUBLIC do it differently from the other diving schools on Curaçao. What else do we do then you wonder! We have a personal approach and look at the needs of the customer. We give the customer priority in what they want and we try to organize it. We also don’t work in large groups. Our groups are no larger than 4 students for courses, but often also do 1 to 1 courses at no extra cost. We don’t only dive at our own location at PLAYA DAAIBOOI, but go to all dive sites on the island. We do this with the Toyota Hilux Pick-up. We also have a collaboration with organization to organize boat dives. All this in the need of our customers. We hope to see you soon on Curaçao at Playa Daaibooi. FOR THE BEST DIVE EXPERIENCE!

Bob and his team at Divers Republic provide an excellent and really professional service. Very knowledgable and able to pick exactly thekind of spots i wanted, very safety conscious. I have dived in many locations worldwide, and i have to admit that Bob exceeded all my expectations

This is definitely one of my favorite places! I would recommend everybody to go here!
It is a great diving school, with amazing people. They are friendly and make you feel at home. The team will help you with your diving wishes, and you can dive either at Daaibooi, take a boot trip or dive safari.
We did 2 dives by boot with Bob as guide, which was at great locations and 2 dives at Daaibooi on our own. They gave us good instructions and support with the gear to make us feel safe.
Last year I did my advanced with Bob and my boyfriend his open water with Sanne and several more dives with them as guide, learning us a lot more!
I will always go back here when I am on the island!

Our son (12) was thrilled to retry scuba diving after 4 years. With Divers Republic, Sanne took him through the theoretical part and dove with him, just off the shore, near Karakter beach bar. He was very excited and felt in total security with her. He really had a blast and wants to continue getting his Paddi open water degree. These people really took the time to make him feel at ease and have him enjoy every minute of his experience.

I was diving with Divers Republic for quite some time and enjoy their professional and safety oriented approach. Staff and equipment were top notch, boat was always clean and Captain Tooki knew what he was doing. For beginners and pros alike this is the dive shop you want diving Curaçao.

Booked the dive via email. They were responsive and very nice.
I arrived via cruise ship and the picked me up and dropped me off at the dock for no charge. I rented equipment which was in good shape and working condition.
It turns out I was the only person diving that day so I had a personal dive guide. Very nice, knowledgeable and fun young man who was fluent in Dutch and English.
We dove from shore - meaning we suited up in the parking lot, walked across the parking lot, across the beach and swam out to the drop off. If you are not fit this would be a bit of a workout.
Currents were low, water was warm and visibility was great ( 100 ft. plus) so we did both dives at the same location; covering the reef East and West. Saw barracuda, eels, lion fish, groupers and several large schools of fish, colorful corals, and a sunken pontoon ferry. The ferry cargo was cars and there car parts spread across the bottom of the sea.
Beverages were served between dives.
Overall a very good experience. I would gladly return.

We stayed at the Blue Bay Resort in Curacao for 10 days and dove with DiveVersity, the onsite operator. We picked Blue Bay and DiveVersity because we were looking for a setup with easy access to the water and a good reef where our 21 YO niece could complete her open water certification and get comfortable in the water, and our 18 YO niece could do a Discover Scuba course. We were completely pleased with the dive setup and with DiveVersity. The instructors were helpful in all ways, polite, friendly, and calm. We spent a solid week shore diving there and watching them interact with other customers, and we never saw them be anything but helpful to everyone who came by the shop.
The dive shop setup is great for both beginners and experienced divers. They are located on a sandy beach with a nice breakwater that creates calm, easy conditions for shore diving, no matter what was going on with the weather. They have a big rinse tank, a shower, and a gear storage area that is locked every night so we didn't have to carry our gear back to our condo. The condo was ocean front and a 3 minute walk from the beach and the dive shop. A very short swim out and you are at the drop off where the reef begins. For more experienced divers, it's about a 15 minute swim (underwater) out to the Blue Bay wall, one of the only walls in Curacao, with plenty to see on the way if you don't wish to go all the way to the wall. We saw all of the usual Caribbean reef fish and creatures out on their house reef, including a resident octopus, and a couple of resident bobtail squid. Nitrox is available, you can take tanks out for the day if you wish to drive/dive elsewhere, they do boat dives 2 or 3 days per week, and they have a second location at Coral Estates, the old Habitat dive resort that closed down several years ago. All in all, we highly recommend this dive op and the Blue Bay resort.

We decided on self-diving and rented our equipment here. The outfit run by Bob may be small, but the equipment and advice provided are very good. You can take courses too, with Bob preferring SSI - and for good reasons (why did we all opt for PADI again?).

Today, my husband and I tried Scuba Diving for the first time. He is 60 and I am 55 years old. Bob's wife picked us up right from the port so getting to the private beach was easy. I must say I was nervous at first but Bob was so calm and easy to learn from! He showed us step by step the course from a booklet and then how to use of the equipment (which I realized was extremely important) He showed us first on land and then on the beach. Once we felt ready, we started the dive. Bob stayed right by my side for the first half of the dive until I was really comfortable. We saw so many awesome things. A school of 100's of bright blue fish, eel fish, snake, and many other wild life. I appreciated Bob's teaching and care for the water as he picked up any debris or small plastic pieces from the ocean floor as he went along. I would highly recommend Bob as he is an older experienced diver who is so easy to trust. Wonderful Adventure! Thanks Bob, can't wait for our next dive!

Awesome diveshop with great dive instructors. Personal, no nonsense, uncomplicated, nice, sense of humor always getting you to the best diving spots. You can rent your gear here or go on a diving trip with Bob the owner or with Leon. Both are great divers. The housereef at Daaibooi is a gorgeous diving spot too and that is where they have lessons. They listen to your wishes and they really take the time for divers and snorklers. Great shop and we'll return again

Amazing little beach in Curaçao where you can expect a surprisingly professional dive team, great instruction and some amazing shore dives. Bob and team impressed us completely and packaged some truly memorable dives. Just ask.
