This is a great place to get discounted groceries. Make sure to also check out the pedal car collection that's displayed along the ceiling. It's probably one of the largest collections ever displayed publicly. Be patient, make sure you bring cash or checks. They also have an ATM inside the store if you don't have cash. I do check the dates and every now and then you might get something that has to be thrown away, but there's no place anywhere nearby where you can get as much groceries as you can here for as little money. They have great deals on meat cheese bulk items and quite a good selection of spices and other things.

We stopped in here after reading the good reviews. It was a few days before Halloween so we got a great Pumpkin for a good price. Although it states they are a bulk food store they have other things too.

The Amish also shop here, so you know it's got good stuff. They have a bakery area and the cookies were good at cheaper prices then in some of the bakeries near by. Great prices all around for instance they had Gala apples for 79 cents a pound. They have tons of baking supplies in fact we bought a bunch of different sprinkles because the prices were so good as well as the variety. Some items are things that will expire soon that you would want to use up.

I think any visitor that comes to this area should check it out if you are looking for a deal.

Cash and Check Only at this place.

We come down to E & S 3 or 4 times a year. Great prices on grocery items and bulk food, spices, candy, baking supplies and more. They also have baked goods and a small lunch counter but we have never eaten there so I can't speak to that.

I travel from Grand Rapids, Michigan to stock up on canned, boxed and bagged bulk items from E&S. Their prices are good on most items. The bagged items you can choose a huge bag, medium or small. Their bakery items are the best around and the sourdough bread is incredible! We usually order lunch at the bakery and eat right there. They carry a lot of items for baking, cooking, snacking, candies, etc. Plus, a lot of fresh produce. I highly recommend visiting E&S when in Shipshewana. I have always thought the staff (Amish) were kind and helpful every visit as well.
The only downfall of the store is they don't accept credit cards. So bring lots of cash if you plan to stock up!

We spend a lot of time in here looking over the bulk items. The noodles and all of the whole made items looked great and we stocked up for the winter months. Prices are reasonably the the staff answered any and all questions.

A very quaint town with fun shopping opportunities. E and S is a favorite stop for bulk items at low prices. The selections are amazing. Remember they only take cash or checks at E and S. Can’t wait to go back for a show, play, bakery, E and S.

The wife and I are traveling with her brother and his wife. My brother in law and his wife have never been to Shipshewana so on our trip we made a little detour to give them a look at a place that the wife and I like to come to shop.

This store is not just a place to stop, it is a destination that will take you 1 to 2 hours to experience.

I go to E &S Sales, not as a tourist, but occasionally as a local. It has some unusual, hard to find items that I like and the bulk items are often good. It is also, (from a tourist's perspective,) interesting if you pay close attention to the cultural differences of an Amish run business. But......I consistently find smaller sized (not the bulk items) items that are past their due date. I am very careful to always check due dates on packaged items.

If they don’t have you don’t need it. If you live off the grid or are Amish . The most comprehensive offering of these types of products that I have seen since Lehman’s in Ohio. Cool for just browsing and looking at the fireplace room or lighted Pictures.

This is always a must if you visit shipshawanna. Spices, candy and dry goods. The prices aren’t bad either. They do not take credit cards, cash and check only. I’d definitely return next year.
