If they don’t have you don’t need it. If you live off the grid or are Amish . The most comprehensive offering of these types of products that I have seen since Lehman’s in Ohio. Cool for just browsing and looking at the fireplace room or lighted Pictures.

If you love to shop you'll find it quite a treat to visit and shop at E & S Sales in Shipshewana. They have a little bit of everything, the expected and the unexpected. It's as much something to see as it is something you'll need. You'll get great deals on everyday items and delicious home made baked goods. I particularly like the bulk spices and mixes. Soup mixes, dip mixes, spice mixes, they'll turn you from an ordinary cook into an impressive chef!

We spend a lot of time in here looking over the bulk items. The noodles and all of the whole made items looked great and we stocked up for the winter months. Prices are reasonably the the staff answered any and all questions.

I came to Shipshewana to enjoy the atmosphere and shopping. I was shocked at the lack of masks, social distancing, and shop employees literally thumbing their noses at basic hygiene during the pandemic. I love shopping at E&S for bulk groceries and make special trips to buy baking supplies several times a year. I am over 65 with a pre-existing condition, so I wear a mask and try to social distance for my safety. When I walked into the store, all the employees had their masks only covering their mouths. Every employee had his or her nose exposed. I tried to avoid them as best as I could, but at the check out stand, I couldn’t avoid being less than 6 feet from the young girl working as cashier. I asked her to please cover her nose with her mask. She responded that she didn’t have to cover her nose and would not raise her mask. Furthermore, she falsely claimed she didn’t have to cover her face with a mask and it was her right not to wear a mask. The state of Indiana currently requires face masks in all indoor public places, so this employee was not simply breaking Indiana’s mask mandate, but was rudely refusing to properly protect me as a customer. Furthermore, she was misleading a customer and tourist about current Indiana and local mask mandates . After the incident, I Googled LaGrange County health department and discovered that not only is there a local mask mandate, but the area has a high positivity rate for Covid 19. Yet not one store in Shipshewana has a mask mandate sign on their doors like they do in Michigan. I hate to say it, but Shipshewana and LaGrange County is an area with active spread of the coronavirus and if E & S Sales is any indication, the employees and management are not taking the safety of customers seriously. I would have canceled my visit if I had known this before I came. If you have a pre-existing condition and/or are over 65, be forewarned Shipshewana is an unsafe to visit and the locals do not practice the minimum precautions to keep tourists and customers safe. Check the LaGrange County Health Department website for current positivity rates and notice the local mask mandate. If the stores of Shipshewana are ignoring the local and state mask mandates with a high positivity rate, are they more concerned about tourist $ lining their pockets than the safety of others? So much for Amish hospitality. Do yourself a favor and visit a safer and friendlier place this summer. No need to bring home COVID 19 as a souvenir!

This is always a must if you visit shipshawanna. Spices, candy and dry goods. The prices aren’t bad either. They do not take credit cards, cash and check only. I’d definitely return next year.
