About
We are pleased to welcome visitors back to Goat Milk Stuff! While the pandemic took its toll on our offerings, it also afforded us time to renovate the Farm Store for a whole new experience! Not to worry, you can still snuggle baby goats, tour the farm, and enjoy our luscious caramel treats. Oh, and don't forget the fantastic soaps that started it all! We began Goat Milk Stuff in 2008 out of a very simple desire - to share our natural goat milk soap with others. We don't use chemicals on our skin and we don't think you should have to either. The soap was so popular, PJ hired the entire family, and then some! Stop in and be encouraged, entertained and enthralled by all the goodness of dairy goats!

We only visited the farm store since lunch is not yet being served again due to COVID-19. The goats were quite vocal this morning and ran to the fence to greet us. Purchased lemongrass, ocean and nautical scents. Excited to try them! I love supporting an Indiana business.

Had a wonderful time at the baby goats experience!! The goats were adorable and had such fun personalities even being so young! Was amazed at the variety of colors they had. My son had two in his lap as soon as he sat down. They were very interested in his beard. Would have loved for it to be for a longer time and a bigger area to watch them play, but absolutely worth the price. Plan on going back again. A perfect time to just escape and have fun

We went yesterday to Goat Milk Stuff and had the best time. My toddler had a blast getting to play with the baby goats and the lady that was with us was very nice and helpful. In the store, we had a great experience too as the man working the cash register answered any questions we had and was super personable. Highly recommend going to visit this place! We will be going back soon!

My wife and I travel constantly around the US and I try chocolate chip cookies everywhere they are my passion! NYC yup all over there, LA yup, Iowa yes, Michigan UP yup, Many Islands, Mexico yes. The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie I have ever put in my mouth (and there have been thousands) is HERE!!! Something about the creamy texture is just perfect! I have had cookies from 10 cents to 20 dollars (NYC is crazy) and there’s is hands down the best ever. Order a dozen and they will make them fresh for you, then sit back and enjoy. My search is over, I do not believe I will ever find a better cookie!!!!! I truly believe I could live to 115 years old if I had one of there cookies to look forward to everyday.

My name is Mark and I’m a Cookie Monster!

It was great to talk with you and your wife yesterday, Mark. I had no idea that when she said you knew chocolate chip cookies that it was to this extent! I am thrilled that you enjoy our "Stuff" and look forward to seeing you guys back soon. After all, a dozen cookies will only last so long! Jim

I was met in the parking lot by a couple leaving the shop. They told me to bring my patience with me. I thought I was ready for the experience. I walked into an empty store. The shop was clean but antiseptic. Soap products lined the wall. I was surprised to see no lotion samples and there was no staff to ask any questions of. A group of 10 came in for a tour right behind me. Eventually a young girl of maybe 12 years came to the register. She looked overwhelmed. I set my basket to the side of the counter and looked around the facility a bit more. Immaculate but nobody to welcome me or help with purchasing. I went back to the register. The group was still being checked in by the girl and an adult male who appeared to work there showed up at the counter. The tour group was getting checked in and it was disorganized. I felt awful for the girl trying to manage it all. I started to walk out. The adult male was very friendly and told me if I waited; the little girl at the register would check out my items. I don’t remember the last time being a customer made me feel I would be imposing on an overwhelmed child. It was uncomfortable. I let him know I would check back and left without a purchase. Even the best place has an off day. This shop which has a lunch offering is about a half mile away from I-65. If you have 2 hours to explore the facility, it may be entertaining. Bring your patience.

Hi Anventure, I'm so sorry that you didn't have a more positive experience while visiting our farm. You are correct, we are currently understaffed. But we are aware of the deficit and working very hard to correct it! In fact, we've been actively accepting applications for weeks and are in the process of interviewing. We've hired 3 people in the past few months, but they haven't started yet as they had to give notice at their previous employment. As you may imagine, there is always work to do on the farm and finding hardworking people who are an asset and able to cheerfully assist with the farm work is one of our biggest challenges. But God has been very good to us and the people he has brought to our team are a wonderful addition. We're trusting that He has a few more for us! I hope you'll give us another chance in the near future. PJ

What a fun stop! My husband saw the sign on our way down to Kentucky, and we stopped on our way back through. I love playing with goats, and they had three little ones along with all the adult goats. There were 3 of us, my husband and I, and our 24 year old daughter. The 9 year old daughter of the owners runs the front store and the 12 year old son took us out to the goats and showed us the Sweet Shop. Their Sweet Shop treats are very tasty. I was partial to the coconut treats. We even tried the goat's milk, and it was tasty. To play with the goats it was $5 per person for 30 minutes. Amazing how fast that 30 minutes went by. They have tours at 10 and 1 daily. Due to our timing we didn't take the tour, but would consider stopping to take it next time we're in the area. Their store offers many goat milk products--bar soaps, liquid soaps, lip balm, lotions, among others. I'm not a fan of most lip balms but I purchased the coconut lip balm and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't feel heavy or sticky like so many others. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

I saw signs on I65 South this morning as we headed to Louisville and thought we should stop on the way home. Then when I had a chance to look GMS up online and read about The Baby Goat Experience, I *knew* we had to stop!! My family raised goats when I was young and I have always loved them!! So we stopped....One thing you need to know....you must have closed toe shoes if you want to do the tour or visit the babies. I was wearing flip flops but we luckily had an extra pair of shoes in the car so I was able to change. Disaster averted!! Hewitt, the 11-year-old son, was our tour guide. (He said he wasn't a tour guide since it wasn't really a tour). Hewitt was fun and very knowledgeable and he led us from point A to Point B so I told him he was a tour guide! ) The 20 minutes we got to spend with the babies was pure heaven! They were fun and playful even though it was a hot, muggy afternoon. I'm still smiling from their antics!!
Once our time was up, Hewitt showed us where to clean our shoes and wash up then led us back to the front of the store. Sadly I didn't get the name of the young man who was running the store, but he was very helpful! He gave us samples of fudge and feta cheese. YUM!! We ended up leaving with a baguette, cheese, fudge, cookie, milk and lip balm! We have only sampled the cookie but can't wait to try the rest of the goodies!
It's only about an hour drive for us, so I am sure we will go back. My daughter wants to take the full tour and maybe play with the goats longer next time!

My family and I recently visited Goat Milk Stuff and thoroughly enjoyed the tour with our homeschool group! We loved learning about the soap making process and meeting the goats. My children absolutely loved all the animals! The property is beautiful, and the family is delightful! The children all did a fantastic job explaining the various steps of making soap. I had never used goat milk soap, and did not know all the health benefits of it, but now I am in love with the black raspberry and honeysuckle soaps! GMS is a must-see for those in Southern Indiana, or those passing through. I cannot wait to stop by their store again and pick out new soaps! I have already recommended their products to many family and friends, and look forward to purchasing birthday and Christmas presents from them.

My girlfriend and I made a planned stop on our way to Knoxville, TN. I had been ordering online and wanted to give gifts to all that came over for the Christmas holidays but I wanted to actually smell some of the scents to see which one fit each person. We had a great time and a lovely experience with the two young girls helping us. You can view the work area from the retail shop.

A senior citizen group was getting a tour while we were there. They seemed to have such a good time.

If there is something that you are interested in and don't see it in the shop, ask them to see if they have it in the back. They did!

I bought a bar of soap, a candle and a lip balm for each one of my Christmas guests and they all loved them.

My favorite is Clean Cotton and Nautical. These scents do not aggravate my migraines.

Some of our family had arrived for a family reunion a day early. Our group included an 82 year old and a 4 and 2 year old with a nice collection of folks in between. One of us happened to be a goat farmer from Arizona. We decided to visit Goat Milk Stuff. The farm is close to I-65 located behind the Wal-Mart. The entrance area has a number of goat milk lotions/soap products as well as Goat MIlk Stuff t-shirts etc to purchase. The ticket price to pet the goats and take a tour was very reasonable. This is a real working farm. It is not an amusement park nor a museum. Be prepared to watch where you step. The people go into a large fenced area where the young goats come out to play. They are adorable and are used to people and children. The goats love attention and are not afraid to come up to anyone. They may even sniff in your pockets. The tour continues around the farm. We were there when the garden was in its glorious green, growing and harvesting stage. After our tour, we went into the restaurant. They have edible goat milk products. They have a nice lunch menu. We saw folks having lunch who were not on the tour. The restaurant area also has other items including hand made chocolates. The next day, we were still talking about the interesting things we saw at the goat farm. I would highly recommend Goat MIlk Stuff as a nice break in the middle of a long day of traveling with children. It isn't very expensive. You can get out and walk around. The restrooms were nice. You can get a bite to eat. You will definitely remember your time with the goats. You may even learn something. If you don't have a meal, you could easily see everything in an hour and be on your way again.
