Worth a 15 min or so stop to learn the history of the town of Santa Claus. The lady working on Thursday was the friendliest person we met in Indiana. It is free with a suggested donation. We donated and bought an ornament as a souvenir, then stopped by the old church and post office at same location.

We stopped here to break the 132 mile drive from Louisville to Evansville. Its just south of I-64, marking the break from the Hoosier National Forest and the beginning of the large soybean and corn fields. The morning sun made for excellent photos of the historic structures.

This museum has the history of the town and the theme park, and lots of photos and mementos. It is absolutely charming. I have been there several times and I always find things I've missed. Going to Santa Claus is a must!

Myself, my mom, my daughter, and 2 nieces went today on our way out of town. The post office was great, the kids loved writing to Santa and are all looking forward to getting letters back from him! I liked the church, because I love history any way it is presented to me. We all enjoyed the museum, the kids liked the Santa with child exhibit best. It was pretty awesome to see the aerial view of Santa Claus back when the theme park was still called Santa Claus Land and how small it was. We did make a donation for going in, but it isn't required. Definitely not huge, but a fun thing to see if you're in the area.

If you enjoy history or Christmas, you'll probably like this. It's a very small museum, but it shows the entire history of the town of Santa Claus and Holiday World. I liked it and found the artifacts, old letters to Santa Claus and photos very cool. Your 12-year old son who is used to playing X-box all day, will probably not feel the same way.
You can hit up the musuem, the post office and Christmas store in less than an hour, as they are all in a row in the same shopping center. Other than that (and Holiday World), there's not much else to do in Santa Claus.
PS- be sure to ask for the tour. Otherwise, you won't get to find out all the interesting tidbits, as the signs aren't very descriptive!

This was just ok. The guy working was very friendly. But the kids were bored very quickly. We spent maybe 15 minutes here.

We enjoyed shopping there for Christmas. They have ornaments, music boxes, homemade fudge and we even got to see Santa Claus.

Fun little stop to learn the history of Santa Claus Indiana. I have no shame in saying I wept reading some of the endearing letters to Santa on display. The statue alone is worth a photo opt. So if you're visiting Holiday World, be sure to take an hour to enjoy this stop.

We stopped in and learned more about the town of Santa Claus and enjoyed the photos and exhibits. The staff was very friendly. Check the hours to make sure it open when you are going to be there.

Neat little museum with friendly staff. There's a video to watch and some gifts to purchase. Donations are accepted and it's worth it.
