Its neat for about 5 minutes and a few photos. Worth stopping. Cute area. Visit the other building while there. Max time an hour I would say.

The town of Santa Claus IN was a very unique and fun visit for our family. We spent about half a day visiting the Statue/Santa Claus Museum & Village, as well as the Christmas store, Kandy Kastle and loved driving around town looking for all the Santa Statues--there are over 20. It's an very easy town to get around. Of course you have to get your photo taken with the big statue. If you really want to have some fun--all dress as Santa, as our family of 14 did--as we cruised around town.

We went to see the Santa Statue, Church and museum as they are all together. Although these three items are free it was a little disappointing.

We always stop to see the Santa statue everytime we go to Santa Claus. It is located on the grounds of the post office and museum. We love getting pictures of the kids here.

Take the time to go past the amusement park around the curve and down the hill where are you will see the original Santa Claus statue on your right inside a small Park where there is a reproduction of the original post office, a small original Church from the town, and more. Read all the plaques and signs so you can learn about our tiny little village. Yes tiny because without the great family-oriented amusement park, and Christmas Lake Village population 2000 + that was developed in the 60s, there would be very little Santa Claus here for you to see. If the Museum and Gift Shop is open be sure to go in there. Not only lots of great things for sale, but more history and items on view to tell you about our little town that was founded well over 100 years ago.
