The Historic 1935 Santa Statue is "dedicated to the children of the world." Standing 22-feet tall and weighing 40-tons, the Santa Statue just underwent a full-restoration, returning the iconic figure of Santa back to his original condition. The public is free to visit the statue during the day or when it is beautifully lit at night.

First Santa Statue in Santa Claus Indiana. Neat area of shops and museum post office and a amusement park. We stopped early in the morning for pictures and nothing was open. Looked like a lot of fun.

This was pretty cool piece of history and there's a nice pad out front to take a picture so Santa is in the background. The post office nearby is neat to as your child can write a letter to Santa and they will mail them a letter around Christmas.

The 1935 Santa statue is very pretty and a great place to take a family photo to commemorate your visit to Santa Claus, Indiana. Obviously, it's simply a statue, not much to explain there, but right next to it is the Santa Claus museum which is a lot of fun to explore. Kids can also write letters to Santa at... More

What can I say, it is a statue of Santa Claus, fits with the name of the town and the Christmas theme.

Nice statue to stop and see if you go by the museum and post office. If you have younger kids I would recommend it.

Its a statue of Santa Claus. I would suggest going out of your way for the statue, but if you are visiting the museum, take a walk up the path to see the statue of Santa Claus.

Excellent statue of Santa. It was revitalized and is great. Saw it as a child in it's original state before the renewal process - it looks better now. It will bring a smile to your face. The inscription at the base of the statue is so true.

We stopped in Santa Claus on our way through - I had researched online prior and thought it would be neat - this statue is really neat to see, and is free to view. Onsite there is also a free Santa Claus museum and post office (not THE post office) where you can sit at old school style desks and... More
