We visited here looking for birds. The dunes are amazing and it was roasting hot when we were here in November. We saw Bluebonnets, White Browed Tree Creeper, plus lots of other species of birds. There are toilets here if you are desperate.

Over the years I have heard people talk about the white sand dunes in the middle of knowhere . What an amazing sight, well worth the drive. We also visited Pine Plains Homestead. This is an oasis in the middle of an extraordinary landscape.

Whilst it was very cold, this was a great time to visit Wonga camp. There were only a few campers and this meant easy access to toilets. (compost toilets). Showers are out of action. The discovery walk (2 hours) was well worth it. At $25.50...More
