View is beautiful! Lake is surrounded by National tea state. Not that much crowded so you can enjoy the nature.
There will be a local guide who also works in tea garden. He will show you everything and help you to take good photos!
I would recommend it not because the lake but the way you have to pass, omg!!! I could assure that you will thank me later ❤️

A natural lake inside Madhabpur tea estate. So, it is surrounded by tea plantation. Had a nice walk, watch the beauty of nature, amazing fauna, leaves and birds. Many visitors. Reach to the top and have a great view. Don’t forget to take few photos and buy pineapple.

•Entry fee -10 BDT per person

•Don’t take any volunteer guide, actually you don’t need a guide for this place. If you take a guide you have to pay them 100-200 BDT.

• The lake looks nice from the top of the hill .so climb the hill for birds eye view. After reaching the top of the hill try their local lemon juice.10 BDT per glass .Its really refreshing after climbing.

•I love the blue water lily.It looks very nice and smells like lux soap.

•we went their by salam chacha’s CNG from the sreemangal town.He is a very nice person. He knows the city like the palm of the hand .he can serve you as a driver ,a guide and a photographer at the same time. His contact no 01737384361.

•Try to go there in early morning or in evening .

A wonderful place to walk and relax around the lake. One neeeds strength to walk a long path and climb hilly areas. The paths are uneven, but worth taking the trouble. From top, the view of the lake which crisscrossed many hilly areas can be seen. The lake is over 3 km and needs almost a day to cover. Good for cooler days. Summer heat could be unbearable. Better to carry small water bottles. Those who cannot walk can just sit on the cemented chairs and enjoy the beauty of nature.

If you are visiting sreemangal of sylhet, then you must visit this place. The natural beauty is just breath taking and amazing. It is actually situated in Kamalgang upazila, about a 45 minutes ride by auto-rickshaw from sreemangal. The lake is part of the Tea Estate and gardens owned by the 'National Tea Company". The lake was artificially made by the British in the 18th century to provide a source of water for the locals and tea gardens. The place is now reserved and made into a tourist attraction , and is really worth visiting. The natural view is excellent. the lake is surrounded by small hills. As you climb up the hills you get a nice view of the lake. The hills of Tripura, India can be seen at a distance from the hill top. Along the horizon you can see the blue mountains of India. The lake has 15 branches. its a nice place to take some beautiful pics . There is no entry fee. But the place gets closed at 5 pm. Tourists are not allowed to remain in the area after 5pm. The is a tea shop at the entrance to the lake where you can have a cup of tea. They also sell packet ed tea leaf of National tea company. The price is 500 taka/ Kg.

We have visited this lake in morning time. It will take approx 25/30 mins by CNG from Sreemangal town. We have taken Salam Chacha as cng Driver (‭+880 17 3738 4361‬). He is local man with good photographer. He helped a lot during the joinery.
It has a entry fee (Tk 10) per person. You may take a guide to make tour inside the lake. Normally they take Tk 100/150 per tour. Omit us good place to explore.
