This is a nice campground. We were disappointed that the beach was closed due to construction and that they were not renting out their kayaks. We went for the lake and could not use it. We wish they had stated the beach and rentals were closed on their website. Also, the water in the bathhouse was so very hot, I could barely shower, and you could not adjust the water temperature.

This campground is very clean. Some of the campsites are pretty cramped. The lake is very nice and clean. Lots of people come her to fish and seem to do well. The petting zoo is not big, but still a nice feature. Veterans and active military get free entrance to the park!

We decided to go tent camping. Really lucked out with beautiful weather. The grounds are well kept. At no fault of their own issues with the shower room (used feminine products on the shower floor multiple times) i don’t know if checking the bathrooms and showers frequently would help, common sense would say go to the bathroom first but this person chose not to... if you want lots of wild life you’ll get it. We were visited by several creatures squirrels (chewed a hole in our tent), raccoon, skunk, ducks and lots of geese. We went to several places throughout the week swimming and the beach was the most unpleasant there was so much goose poop in the sand and the water left a green film on my skin and turned my baby blue swim suit brownish green.

We have come to this park may times over the years, and always loved it! It's clean and well-maintained, and there is plenty to do- camping, fishing, swimming, paddle boating, petting zoo, and if course, picnicking. Rates are very reasonable, and the people that work there are great.

Usually camp here one weekend each summer. Grounds are always clean. Very nice campsites..all asphalt. Swimming area is also nice, kids love the high dive. Also has a small petting zoo which was unfortunately closed due to the high heat temperature? Good place to run/bike.

Thank you so much for your review. We are glad you enjoy camping at the park and hope you come back soon. Have you camped at South Harrison Park? It is in the southern portion of the county and very nice as well. Carol
