I really wished we lived closer to this little gem of a park. In the last 18 months my husband and I have visited and re-visited all of the Indiana State parks and many of the recreation areas and wild life areas. Overlooks the river and cliffs. Also the history of the vinegar mill is interesting. A beautiful site with the 100 ft. drop.

Tucked into a corner of North Vernon, this charming little county park is easy to miss even though there's access off Indiana 7. It features a playground, camping, picnic areas and access to the Muscatatuck River where you can hike and overlook the old quarry. The best time to visit is in the fall when the trees glow shades of yellow and most people are in lines to see the color at Brown County. This park has no lines and all of the color. Also, it's free. If you want to add a little extra sight-seeing fun for the trip, drive north on 7 to Scipio and see the covered bridge near the fire station. If you're in a car or a pickup, you can even drive over it.…

We found this pretty park online (Jennings County Parks and Recreation) and decided to check it out on our way back home from North Central Indiana. 8 full hookup, pull-through campsites are among the many other types of campsites in this park. There are hiking trails and several nature preserves in the area as well. The sites were cleanly mowed and the bathhouse accommodations were clean but "showing their age." HELPFUL NOTE: The water and electrical hook-ups are spaced very far apart so as to require longer hoses and the sewer hookup was a bit "raised" so that we had to manipulate the hose a bit to allow for efficient flow. Neither of these issues caused us any problems.…
