Came up to Indy and afternoon early and found this gem via research of local courses. The guy I dealt with was very friendly. Walked 18 holes alone and had a lot of fun. Challenging course however and was very windy when I played. The turf there is amazing. Will be back.

A great course to play. The courses mystique is to be challenging however I find it very playable. I am a high handicap player and enjoy each hole. I believe hole sixteen is where I had the most trouble. The bunkers come into play with narrow fairways. Deceiving yes.

We have been on an email list for over a year and finally got to attend their wine dinner last night. The chef is a young, creative young lady with lots of talent and great ideas. Our evening was Mediterranean and the dishes were different from our usual menu. However, they were delicious and even the men enjoyed trying them.... More

Terrific course that never seems to be too busy. Very fun and challenging course, I wouldn't recommend it for your first round of golf. There is a lot of tall heather/grass, which must feed on golf balls. Hands down, for the money, one of the best courses in Hamilton County, possibly all of IN. Look for off season or mid... More

Purgatory Golf Club is a little bit of a drive from Indianapolis, but decided to book a round here during some down time in town because it was one of the top rated courses in the state of Indiana. Played mid afternoon on their $55 rate, which I thought was a reasonable value for the quality of the course. It... More

The course is in good shape this spring... greens are fast and roll very nice... tees and fairways are in good shape... so no excuses.... It is a course where you have to hit the ball straight... if not, you will spend your time on the dunes or sand traps... but if you hit the ball straight, it is a... More

We unexpectantly needed to celebrate life and Samantha and Kelli at Purgatory Golf Club helped us do that. We recently were informed that my husband has metastatic cancer and on very short notice, I decided I should surprise him with a celebration. And . . . THAT is exactly what WE did! Samantha and Kelli took care of everything, as... More

Wow! I was a guest so not sure the cost of participation but I think you get your money's worth. Thanks to playing a scramble or it would have been exhausting trying to play my own ball! Will look forward to giving it another try!

On a driving vacation and played here on an off day. Great decision. Really well laid out, tough, Scottish/Irish style links golf course. Very nice clubhouse, good helpful staff. Course has a number of different tees - longer than 7600 yards from the back - and do not over estimate your skill level. The rough is tough, a lot of... More

I love this links course. If it weren't for the weather, you'd think you were in Scotland. You can easily adjust to your level of play by choosing one of the multiple tee stations. Lots of grass. Lots of sand, and "enough" water.
