I spent 3 hours at Koteewi with a couple of 13 year olds on Saturday and we had a blast! The weather was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful guy. There were very clean restrooms to use. We brought a small cooler with some snacks and drinks and were glad we did because we exerted some energy. They got us geared up and then, after a short demonstration, we were ready for the fun! We did 4 of the 5 courses as one was closed for maintenance. The boys did them a total of 6 times. I would recommend bringing some bug spray as there were lots of bugs/mosquitoes. We didn't get eaten up to bat though. I'd also recommend bringing some gardening type gloves with you. They are not required and can be purchased onsite but I found them helpful at times.
The staff was fantastic! Very helpful and knowledgeable. They were very encouraging to kids that were struggling to go on the zip lines. As an added bonus we got to see 2 baby deer as well.
Would definitely go back again.

Such a great place with an amazing staff that took care of everyone's needs. They take the time to explain how to do everything and make sure all are capable. What great little gem so close by.

This was a fun experience. There are 5 different treetop trails in this aerial adventure that are different heights off the ground. Each course seems to be the same length. There is one center starting platform and from there you can choose to go on a yellow (moderate), green (intermediate) or blue (advanced) course. There is always someone there to help you choose and point out which it which one. Within all these different courses there are 60 different challenges and zip lines to cross.
This place is easy to find using your GPS. Gravel parking lot and then you walk to the first building, where you pay, can use the restroom (last chance) and buy a tshirt if you'd like. There are lockers for your belongings too if you want to leave them safely there. Then you walk along a gravel path back to the second building where you are suited up with the harness gear, a helmet and gloves. It was easy to put on and I felt secure on the course with the harness. So thankful for the gloves too.
Next, you walk back to a small and short practice area where you are instructed how to use the equipment you were given and how always to keep yourself safe by remaining clipped to the safety system at all times.
Then you make your way to the starting platform and begin on the course of your choice. We found that each course took the two of us about 30 minutes to complete. You are given 2 1/2 hours to complete as much as you would like within that time frame. We were given bracelets that had our stop time on them.
We found the course to be fun and a little challenging in spots. Some of them take more balance and strength than others. I have been on more challenging courses and maybe someday they will add one here.
The belay system used here is great. It is simple to figure out and safe.
Minimum of 7 years old to use the course, minimum weight of 40lbs and maximum of 275lbs. Wear closed toe shoes. I was able to carry a small cinch sack on my back in which I kept my phone in so that I could take pictures along the way.
The only improvement I can suggest is that of communication. Two things: It took 2 weeks for us to get this scheduled between the back and forth emails and unknown hours. Would prefer easy online set up. Do appreciate the fact that waivers can be signed online ahead of time. And also for the employees working the course to not say rude and demeaning things to people on the course as we are working to figure this out along the way or if we make a mistake. We had to bite our tongue a time or two.
Love that we now have one of these courses in our area!

There are prices for each activity on their website. When you arrive at this site there is signage with new higher prices. Of course you don't want to disappoint the guests you brought along so you pay the new price. If you ask for a receipt you're informed their printer is not working so you can't know how much you're being charged. Is this a way to conduct a business.

Hello Stephen.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. We aren't printing receipts right now to limit physical contact between our guides and adventurers to help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. However, you should have gotten an emailed receipt to the email you provided while creating your reservation; if not, I am happy to send one to you.
As for your pricing concerns, please let me know where you had found different pricing online. On edgeadventureparks.com our prices are consistent with what we charge in the park. We want our presence online to be consistent across the board with what we charge in the park to help future adventurers from running into a similar issue.
Please send me an email at ellie@edgeadventureparks.com and we can continue the conversation.
Thanks.

My family recently went to Koteewi to go ziplining. We measured everyone’s height before we went, and my youngest daughter was close to their minimum height but we thought she was tall enough. We arrived, and during check in – we were told that she was less than a ½” too short to be able to participate, and so they turned us away. That was disappointing, but understandable.
What wasn’t understandable was that they said they couldn’t refund our money, and the manager on site could ‘only provide a credit for future use.’ I was told that their off-site manager, Billy Hager-DeMyer, had the authority to give refunds, but we had to contact him via email. I spent the next several days emailing back and forth, but their ‘policies are non-negotiable’ and they refused to give us back our money after they didn’t provide the service and turned us away.
While trying to research their ‘non-negotiable policies’, I ran across several news articles about the company that owns Koteewi and their recent money issues – deferring maintenance, closing their zipline in South Bend, etc.
I wish I had read this BEFORE I had given them my money and driven all the way up there! Frustratingly, we got MULTIPLE emails from them in the hours and days after they turned us away – saying how much they valued our business, and that they ‘are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.’ How about NOT taking people’s money when you don’t provide the service? That feels like a good start!

I was so pleased to find there was such a thrilling activity in Hamilton County. We reserved our time slot the day before and even signed our waivers in advance. Even though everything was taken care of, we still ended up waiting approximately 20 minutes beyond our reserved time. There are too few employees staffing the business to make things run on time. We ended up getting lumped together with a group from a later time which then made the whole process of getting geared up and trained take much more time. All that being said, once we were in the trees, we had an incredible time. We pushed ourselves physically in ways we've not done before. It was a fun, bonding experience that left us fatigued but in the best way possible. Bottom line is that I would come back. I only hope the company hears the concerns in regards to staffing and makes the appropriate changes.

Hello Kaitlyn,
Thanks for your review! I apologize for the delay in getting your group started in the trees. Harnessing and training groups does take time so if groups ahead of yours requires extra attention, if there is ever an emergency, a guest climbing in the trees needs assistance immediately, sometimes our staff's attention has to shift momentarily. I'm not sure which day you were at the park, so I don't know the exact situation but I am happy to continue the conversation with you to ensure that you feel you had full advantage of your time with us.
I am glad you enjoyed the rest of your time at the park and were able to leave feeling a sense of accomplishment!
Feel free to send me an email at ellie@edgeadventureparks.com and we can connect to continue the conversation.
Best,

We had a great time on yellow and green courses. I was initially concerned that my fear of heights might be an issue, but it was no problem at all.
We did not attempt the higher level "blue" course, but we felt plenty challenged on the yellow and green courses. The entire family had a lot of fun!
I was a little unsure how the reservation process would work since we had purchased a Groupon. It was very easy... we just used the normal reservation process online and entered the Groupon code, under the promo code section.

We had an 8, 11, 15 year old and 4 adults. We laughed, we cried, we got rescued. We’re sore and some bruised. It was awesome! We’ll be back 👍👏

Took my 11 yr old and we accomplished 3 courses in a bit over 2 hours. The guides/employees are very kind. They make sure you do the easier courses first. The hardest blue course is hard but manageable for those somewhat physically fit. My daughter really enjoyed herself.

Me and my husband like outdoor stuff. We are a pretty fit couple so we were concerned that the zip line trails would be too easy for us. Not a case! They have 5 trails total, and the "hard" one was actually hard! But the easier ones were an amazing experience too! The team was very helpful and pleasant as well. Yes, there are mosquitoes (bug spray is a must), but then it's not too hot on a sunny summer day, because the trails are hidden between the trees, so you're not gonna burn into ashes, so that's a good thing. We took water with us (the small bottle that can fit a fanny pack, you can refill it after each zipline trail), so that definitely helped.

Thanks for your details review! I'm glad you got a good workout with us and enjoyed all five course we have to offer. Bringing bug spray and a mini refillable water bottle is a great tip for future adventurers. I hope to see you again soon!

Has anyone gone snow tubing there? Can you tell me how it compares to Perfect North Slopes or Paoli Peaks tubing?
Written February 15, 2018
Yes I have. It’s not a mountain so you get what central Indiana has. Comparing them is like apples to oranges. It’s not as long as perfect north. But it’s closer than perfect north. Depending on where you live. Still you can get some good speed just don’t plan on setting any records for distance or speed. But it’s still amazing.
