Wonderful hidden gem in Henry County, Indiana. Beautiful camp spots with plenty of kayaks and canoe's to check out the wide variety of birds and animals. Trails are well marked and lovely this time of year.

It's actually been a while since I've been to Summit Lake State Park, and it's still one of the newer state park facilities with somewhat limited other amenities and ongoing development - but, if you're there for fishing or boating, it's got clean water and...More

Having lived near this park for the bulk of my life, it's not anything I consider especially exciting, but it is a nice area. There is the lake with a beach, lots of trails, several shelters, a couple of playgrounds, and the campground. I usually...More

We took our granddaughter camping here on a weekend, and we were amazed at how quiet the campground was! DNR drove through quite often, so I think people got the message that no loud partying would be allowed. Seemed to be a lot of families...More

We rented a pedal boat and explored the lake --gorgeous views and peaceful environment. Our two year old* loved it!! *We brought his puddle jumper but they also supply life vests.

Although it's been in existence for several decades, Summit State Park is one of Indiana's newest parks. Plenty of camping, a sandy beach with a snack shop, and miles of old forest trails. You can't go wrong with this park.

THERE ARE NO STARBUCKS CLOSE TO HERE ... just kidding. Wife and I camped at this state park for a couple of days during the week recently. This is a really good park for fishing, kayaking and bird watching. Otherwise, it's pretty average. Campground has...More

The park has nice trails along the water. They could use some markings though. There were times when we weren't sure which way to go but we used to park map to guess and we were correct. The park has a small beach but it...More
