We can plan your complete Sri Lanka itinerary, or if you would rather organise your own hotels and itinerary that's great, we are happy to just provide you with round trip transportation with one of our expert drivers. Just returned from a fabulous 2 week honeymoon in Sri Lanka and on recommendation we contacted Dimuthu with a draft itinerary we had pulled together and within hours he came back to us with some suggestions, recommendations and a guide on price for the 2 week trip.
We couldn't recommend having a driver more and as some of the reviews say, he wasn't just our driver, but a great tour guide and made the holiday, travel and decisions around where to eat etc so easy, getting a great experience of Sri Lankan life, through food and history. Particularly in a post covid world where not everywhere was open, Dimuthu would phone ahead and make sure things were open, whether we needed to book and gave us local knowledge that was so helpful when exploring on our own.
We visited all the main attractions from Sigiriya rock, to Kandy, Ella, stopping at a number of waterfalls enroute, visited beautiful temples, wood carving, spice garden, gem factory and nothing was too much trouble, if we wanted to build something into the plan he made it happen.
We cant recommend enough! Thank you Dimuthu!

We had a fantastic time in Sri Lanka, and big thanks to Dimitu who took good care of us, a great guy and guide. If we hadn't used his services we would never have seen so much. I can strongly recommend him and his company if you want an unforgettable vacation in this beautiful country.

From the moment Dimuthu greeted us at the airport with a welcoming garland and a big Sri Lankan smile he made us feel totally relaxed, he was in control of the prearranged itinerary, so all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the scenery as he drove us from place to place, answering ALL our questions and sharing his knowledge of his beautiful country. There were a couple of deviations from the planned route - like when the train we took from Ella to Nuwera Eliya broke down. Dimuthu, who had gone ahead in his car saved the day; he came back and picked us up from the middle of nowhere and took us off on an impromptu tour of the area we found ourselves in. We had chosen some of our accommodations and he arranged some - at every check in he did a discreet rece to ensure it was up to scratch - on one occasion he was, rightly, unhappy with the place and whisked us away to another hotel. This would not have been possible without local knowledge, which he has in abundance. He told us about the history, the different religions, cultures, foods etc, which you wouldn’t get self driving, and driving there is not something I would recommend, particularly if you want a stressless holiday. During our 3 weeks travelling with him nothing was ever too much trouble and he was 100% professional from beginning to end. We could not recommend Dimuthu highly enough - he is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humour.

The past two weeks travelling Sri Lanka with my family was just amazing, thanks to our wonderful guide Dimuthu.
Dimuthu took us to amazing sites, activities, places to eat and great accommodation (which he was often able to book for cheaper than booking.com). He was able to answer every question we had and shared so much about the history and culture of the country with us.
We really enjoyed his great sense of humour and always had a good laugh with him.
There is no doubt Dimuthu is very passionate and experienced in what he does.

We had a wonderful time with Ranjith who was very professional, friendly, punctual and safe driver and guide. In particular we really enjoyed his extensive and varied road trip music! Keep that going!

My two friends and i decided to go for a 4 days trip to Sri Lanka and we were recommended to contact Dimuthu. This was the best decision we've taken.
Dimuthu is a friendly HIGH professional guide with great knowledge of areas and hidden gems of Sri Lanka, he's always proposing several options and put us in ease to choose whatever one suits us the most. He helps a lot on finding the best prices for hotels and venues and very reactive to our requests.
He drives very safely which is a must for Sri Lankan drive/roads.
Best trip for the three of us ... Thank you Sri Lanka, Thank you Dimuthu!

We visited Sri Lanka on holiday for just over 2 weeks and wanted to travel around from place to place, but weren’t sure of the best way to do so. We contacted Dimuthu on recommendation from a friend and he organised a driver, Nisha to look after us during our trip. Choosing to get a driver was the best decision we made!! It made travelling from place to place quick and efficient, vs. trying to work out public transport like other people we met along the way who had struggled and used up days of their holiday travelling. It also included airport pick up and drop off. We asaw SO much more than we expected and not only was Nisha a driver, he was also an amazing tour guide, taking us to different stops along the way to see things we hadn’t expected to such as a tea factory, temples, wood carving demo, spice garden etc. etc. and teaching us about Sri Lanka history and his speciality - wildlife! He looked after us so well, helping us check into our hotels, organising tickets for attractions for us (front row seats at Kandy dance show!) taking us on tours, stopping for food and drink- but then at the same time, we had lots of time to explore ourselves too and we just let him know of day/time of pick up from place to place and he was always, always on time! We chose to book the train from Kandy - Ella as its such a beautiful, scenic journey, and whilst we did so, Nisha took all our bags and picked us up at the other end so we didn’t have the hassle of our big bags on the train. If you’re planning to visit Sri Lanka on holiday we would 100% recommend getting a driver and contacting Dimuthu to book! Thank you Nisha!!! Jess and Tommy - England.

We enjoyed a lovely holiday in Sri Lanka in July 2019. Dimuthu has been an excellent driver and guide, from the warm welcome at the airport until the moment we had to return home.
We arranged our own trip and Dimuthu added some valuable suggestions on the way. He’s also open to feedback when we indicated what type of activities or restaurants we like or don’t like.
Also our 2 boys enjoyed the company of Dimuthu and the small gift at the end of our trip has received a fixed place in our living room.
We would highly recommend Dimuthu! And also a holiday to Sri Lanka. A perfect place for a family holiday, we always felt safe!

To put it simply Dimuthu was an incredible guide. He made our 14 day tour of Sri Lanka an easy and amazing experience.
Throughout the trip Dimuthu was so thoughtful and considerate. Every time we traveled somewhere new he made sure that we were comfortable and happy. He always knew the best places to eat and the best activities to do.
Being a bit of a history enthusiast it was such a bonus that Dimuthu knew the answer to every question I had. He was so knowledgeable and helpful and made every new destination cultural and interesting.
If you are considering booking with Tharul travel and Dimuthu I would highly encourage you to do so. His English was perfect and he made our trip the trip of a lifetime.
