Theater at the Center is the best place in NW Indiana to see a top notch theater production. I’ve been going for years and I’m never disappointed. The venue is intimate and the sound is great. It’s easy to hear at a reasonable volume.

The current production -- Almost Heaven: John Denver's America -- is a FANTASTIC performance by highly talented musicians and singers telling John's story and rendering some of his beautiful songs. The three men and two women vocalists have such clear, beautiful voices and delivered Denver's songs so wonderfully, all the while playing a variety of instruments with a minimum but powerful staging choreography. The keyboard artist, violinist and bass player were discreet backgound. I loved every minute and didn't want the performance to end. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved. This is a show that absolutely deserves to go on the road. As for the theater itself, there's no bad seat in the house.

Excellent theatre productions on a regular basis. Never farther than 8 rows back from the stage. With Star Plaza Theatre in Merrilville gone, TATC is trying to fill the void by adding concerts and comedy shows. Parking is free. Most recently we saw Miracle on 34th street, the Musical. Very well done!

Excellent value with an amazing buffet dinner before seeing "Miracle on 34th Street" as a holiday performance. The musical was excellent!

We went to see the "Creole Stomp" and really enjoyed ourselves. Have been a member for many years and have loved every play/show. Very comfortable and plenty of room. I cannot believe how immaculate this venue is. It is a must!

The Tin Woman which is currently running through August 13 was a fabulous play. Excellent cast, and very thought provoking topic. Dealing with a heart transplant and how it affects the recipient and donor family. Riveting and excellent cast. My wife and I have been season subscribers for over 4 years. Most plays tend to be light hearted, musicals, etc. I'm glad to see the Theater add drama to the repertoire. The Tin Woman is definitely a play to see.
We just came back from NYC and saw a show on Broadway for $140 per ticket. Being a season subscriber at the Theater in Munster is a bargain in comparison. Very good quality plays for about a quarter of the cost.

I have been a season ticket holder for this place for over five years now and have "never been disappointed"! Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing a marvelous production of "All Shook Up" featuring all the Elvis Presley hits. The cast and crew did a marvelous job. The theater seating is extremely spacious making you feel like you are in business class or first class with plenty of leg room and seating space. The scenery on stage has really improved year after year. The package for the theater features five (5) plays, musicals and/or mystery dramas and is well worth the price rather than buying individually...plus you get your choice of seating and have it available for each performance. They also feature theater performances for the younger set and special performances by individual groups throughout the season. I like this theater because it is quaint, comfortable and not too large. (You don't need binoculars to see the actors)! The Theater At The Center also has a Sunday Champagne Brunch to enjoy before the performance on Sundays. A wonderful afternoon or evening for friends and family to enjoy with some very talented actors. Five stars to the actors, directors, choreographers and stage crew as well as the orchestra!

Though I have been here for the brunch, this is the first time going to the theater. The theater is small, so there isn't a bad seat in the house. Plus the rows are wide, so if someone needs to walk in-front of you to get to their seat you don't have to stand for them to pass.
We saw Bobby Brooks Wilson.....excellent entertainer. The lead in group was The Spaniels Forever......they also put on an excellent show.
The show was put on by Sparks Production, thus it didn't show up on the "Theatre At The Center" web site. I would think that the theater would promote everything that was being shown there, but I guess they don't......too bad.
One last thing, parking is free.

I am interested in attending the dinner/comedy night? Any reviews?

I have attended about three comedy nights. The menu usually has a theme. The dinner would be Mexican, etc. it's not from the regular menu. One time the food was great!!! One time it was fair. The comedy is great. They get some fairly big names. One comedian was someone I heard on Sirius XM comedy channel and a lot of them were people I had heard of being in Chicago comedians.
Is there a performance tonight?

You can go to their website to check performance schedules. The next show is My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra.
It begins February 9, so it would be a nice Valentines Day show.
