We were here for a wedding. The PA system was down for about 30 minutes causing a late start for a very, very hot outdoor wedding. There were several senior citizens some with handicaps. After about 20 minutes in the hot sun, the staff offered cold bottled water for the guests. This was not acceptable!

I stopped by Minnestrista Center late on a Saturday afternoon, hadn't seen the place since leaving Muncie 15 years ago. Loved the gardens and the Apple Shop, I remembered the rose gardens being so fragrant, and they still were. Many art installations and landscaping now, with marked tags for what kind of flower/tree/shrub. The grounds are a nice place to... More

My hub and I (60s) took a road trip from Indy - about an hour away. We enjoyed seeing where the five Ball (Ball canning jars) brothers lived so harmoniously together. Each chose a different architectural style for his home. Oakhurst (unfurnished) is the only one open for tours. Call ahead to make sure the interpreter is available. One of... More

This is a beautiful center. The museum exhibits are usually very interesting. They also have tours that the public can to of some of the other Ball Mansions.

Love Minnetrista! The roses and flowers are beautiful year round. The Walk path is fantastic for walking or bike riding. The concerts on the lawn are great in the summer time.

Beautiful museum and activity center. Have enjoyed exhibits on the upper floor, walked the preserve to the north of the museum and taken a hike with the granddaughter in the gardens. Great activity.

Hiking the property, stopping in the orchard store on the back of property, visiting the exhibits inside Minnetrista are all great fun for children. One needs to take them to little pond near Wheeling Ave. - this area is set up for children and we visit there spring summer and fall. Winter - inside events!

Nice farmers' market on Saturdays. Nice looking produce but a bit pricey snd no free samples. 2 nice trails to walk on. 1 is paved and you csn look down on the White River. The other trail is through a park-like area with a pond to see and benches to sit on. Nice landscaping.
