Great bike trail

This is a very well maintained paved bike trail. Distance allows for serious bikers to ride long distances with little car traffic interference.

Always a nice safe ride! Whether you head north to Gaston, or South toward Richmond, the Cardinal Greenway won't disappoint. Excellent pavement, nice scenery, but best of all, no cars beside you.

Rode from Muncie to Richmond and back...great for biking. No hills - just gentle inclines and declines. So little traffic on the trail and few cross streets - except in the cities. Just be careful in the country - sight lines at some crossings are difficult - almost blind. But otherwise it's carefree riding. Plenty of trailhead stops with port-o-lets,... More

The cardinal greenway is an excellent trail for walking, jogging or biking. It is scenic, clean and wide enough for two lanes and passing.

We used to live near this trail and walk it about once per month. It is a good place to take dogs for a walk.

Such a very calming experience! The music is so enjoyable. You run into so many people who are friendly and also people that you knew a long time ago.

Today, we rode the Gaston to Losantville portion round trip. Gaston to Muncie had numerous places where the trail intersected very busy streets requiring us to dismount and walk to avoid the traffic. Muncie to Losantville was more conducive to continuous biking. There are restrooms along the trail. Most are port-o-potty. Only Muncie has flush toilets. Muncie has a deal.... More

I love riding my bike in this trail, it beats riding on the roads! Its a bit bumpy in certain parts of the trail but overall, it's pretty smooth. You have to cross quite a bit of intersections that don't have pedestrian crosswalks...cross at your own risk. Cars can be kind at times. I've been told the trail is about... More

I think they have the longest bike path I have ever seen in the middle of the country. They have made a path out of the old railroad tracks with rest stops and information post.
