A great place for war memorabilia but
Aug 2019
Has an amazing stock of clothing and memorabilia from most of the big wars...maybe more than anywhere else however needs to be more manouvreability between aisles and the books are placed in areas with not enough light to read titles particularly if you have indifferent eyesight

Beautiful Lunch, friendly atmosphere and the interesting Dookie Emporium to explore ...I highly recommend a visit...
Dec 2019
Such a friendly and relaxed cafe. What a lovely lunch again today at the Dookie Emporium - a healthy, light and tasty meal of tandoori chicken & salad. We even ordered small serves of milkshakes for the delighted grandchildren with us. Beautiful coffee too...
You could spend a long time browsing through the Emporium after lunch - worth a detour or trip out from Shepparton or elsewhere on a day out. New great views over the Artistic Dookie Red Flowering Gum installation as well...

Visit the past
Jan 2019
I have stopped in here for cake and coffee with friends and browsed the eclectic collection of knick knacks on display. It reminded me of old-fashioned general stores from the old days combined with antique dealers. The food was very pleasant and the service was friendly.

Interesting building and contents- nice lunch
Nov 2019
The former Major Co-Op Store, built for Dookie Co-operative Society 1953 and designed by Grant & Associates, Melbourne with an unusual stainless steel almost aeronautical canopy - militaria specialist ,, prices bit high but niche items. Has TV set supply links. Has good selection for lunch and good prices- popular among locals. Dookie is an interesting small town with the ag college neabry for a visit.

Sunday drive and coffee
Jan 2018 • Couples
Dookie is a very pleasant drive from Shepparton or ride your bike as many people seem to do these days. What a treat is in store for you, enjoy the coffee and cake or home-made pasties, pies or sausage rolls, all of which are delicious.

Great Day out
Nov 2016 • Couples
Wow! A great little store with so much stuff to look at. We left with a great little cupboard and old Lamp. We spend about 2 hours investigating this little gem. A cafe with homemade sausage rolls and lovely coffee topped the day off. If you're familiar with the "Bizarre shop" in chapel St Windsor you'll know what a great find this store is outside the city to visit

Cracking food and coffee

Homemade pies are fantastic. Coffee is excellent. Location near the park great if you've got kids - a must visit if you are travelling between Benalla and Shepparton and want to take the scenic route.

Breakfast
What a surprise this place is. The most fascinating treasures . You could spend many hours looking through all this fascinating stuff , then sit down with friends for lovely coffee and home made cakes. Or you could have breakfast, or a beautiful home made pie for lunch. A must do if you like this kind of stuff .

eclectic mix of fascinating finds

Love the Dookie Emporium, an eclectic mix of antiques and collectables, great coffee and a lovely breakfast and lunch menu. The new Backroom exhibition/gallery space is a fabulous addition. I always seem to find something to add to my collection during my visits and must say Sol's mocha is one of the best around the Valley!
