Stayed one week in Tampico and went twice to Miramar beach. Good swimming. They have life savers all over the beach. You can have a Palapa and two seats for 5 dollars and you can buy food from locals, crab is delicious

when we are in Madero we come to the beach early most mornings. We walk along the escollera to the mouth of the river to watch th dolphins. There are always loads of sea birds especially pelicans and the raccoons in the rocks. Then a walk or jog along the beach which is fine golden sand and the water is lovely, even in January. The are lifeguards on duty at peak times. There are shops and restaurants along the road and vendors selling food , drinks and beach accessories along the beach There are toilets, showers and changing rooms available for a small cost. There are hotels and resort hotels available, but I have no information on these.

Our family drove in from Valles (about 2hrs away) to bring my daughter and grandmother. It had been at least 10 years since I last visited and was pleasantly surprised to see the improvement in cleanliness and the large amount of palapas available. I’m sure during the summer it is very busy but as we went in December the beach overall was not very crowded. Another nice thing was that the vendors were not pushy, with just a nod or quick no they would leave you alone.

I look forward to coming back in the future.

Nice beach, waves were a bit strong when we went. There are plenty of kiosk/palapas to rent with seating and shade. There are vendors who walk around trying to sell stuff and restaurants with food menus.

The water is warm, tons of shops and restaurants. Bathrooms and showers. Love the cabana chairs that you can rent for around 100pesos for the day. Great for the entire family. Really enjoyed our many trips to this beach. I heard it gets super supper busy during spring break and summer.

It is a wonderful city, well preserved, safe and affordable, its beaches are wide and clean, and they have lifeguards.

Spectacular beach, partially mutilated because the dune area has almost disappeared.

Large area of sand and clean waters despite the proximity of a refinery and the mouth of the Pánuco River at the southern end of the beach.

Hotel infrastructure not overwhelming, let's hope that some protection of the environment is maintained in the future.

Restaurants and eateries, perhaps insufficient on holidays.
