I was married here 14 years ago. This is a good beach with plenty of cafes, kiosks, and opportunities to enjoy the day.
Don't expect a upper class resort style experience, unless you're staying at Club Maeva. Having said that, it is what it is and a good time can be had while catching some sun and watching pretty Tampiquenas walking by...

I love playa Miramar. It's been almost 40 years ago since I last visited. The beach was still as charming as I remember it and more. Too bad we visited in March and the weather was still chilly and windy. We didn't get a chance to get in the water and experience the beach as we would have liked. We are definitely coming back during the warmer months! They have made lots of upgrades to the beach. I can't wait to come back!

Even though this trip was to deposit my daddy's ashes in the Gulf of Mexico. His last wish was to come to Tampico's Miramar beach and stay here forever.

Miramar beach provides tranquility and extreme fun, depending on what your looking for. Many activities for the family like the banana boat, fishing & boat rides.
Many vendors offering hair braids, beautiful handmade jewelry and food.

Beautiful atmosphere and very inexpensive.

Loved this place ❤️

Nice beach,
I want to come definitely again and have a swim here. A lot of shops are close. The condition of the beach is great. Soft sand and clear water. For spring break it will be crowded but outside the main season it is still a beautiful place. Make sure you see it if you come to Tampico.

This is the best beach I have ever visited. Is not invaded of hotels, it kept the natural look. All those many options to eat. It offers special amenities for disable people. It includes a tourist office to inform available services. It is a must in life before it becomes more industrialized.

Beach is water is clean, there are seating areas with shade available to rent and vendors walking around selling drinks food and tourist items. There are public restrooms available to use if you pay but they're pretty nasty so I suggest you not going there.

Is free! However, you can rent a “palapa” witches two chairs and a palm tree umbrella. You can bring a cooler and snacks. The weather is always hot, so have fun swimming. You will see some local selling fruit, palm tree hats, ice cream, and more. The water is normal for the Golf of Mexico is not clear.

What, quite a few years ago, was a filthy, oil and debris covered beach, is now a highly developed attraction, with a good number of very attractive hotels, clubs, and restaurants, (some are even all inclusive). There are also many local artisan markets, with some very nice products, at very attractive prices .An added attraction is the escollera, or jetty, which has an enjoyable walkway all the way to the end, and the view of the Gulf of Mexico, and the many boats, ships, shrimpers, sports fishing boats, especially during the many tournaments during the year, make it very unique.A very attractive diversion, when visiting Tampico. Word of caution, be in your hotel, prior to dark, as there is a very high risk of danger from assault and robbery after the sun goes down.
