So I had seen flyers for Sareptas Hus all over Lofoten during our week there and I decided I would stop here on our way back to Svolvaer to pick up some souvenirs and local products.
I looked them up on Facebook and had everything planned out, was so excited to do some shopping, and the night before we were supposed to go (the day before we were to fly out too) I saw posted on FB that they would be closed "tomorrow" - the day we were planning to go.
Distraught and heartbroken, I took a chance and sent a FB message to the shop to explain my predicament and heartbreak and unbelievably, the owner messaged back and arranged a time to open the shop just for me!!
Needless to say, we were there the next day in the morning and I left so happy with our finds. There is a section of the shop dedicated to "Lofoten Wool" featuring many great handcrafted clothing pieces - sweaters, gloves, hats etc as well as jams/canned goods to take home and decoration pieces.
The owner was just so accommodating and I couldn't have been happier and will always recommend this great shop!

Stopped here looking for some unique gifts and was not disappointed. The owner was friendly and provided us with information on the area. We bought some Lofoten Wool, jelly and candy.

Yesterday we visited Sareptas Hus to buy some local products as souvenirs from Lofoten. The owner was very nice and answered all our questions about the products. We left with some local jelly and caramel. But what was even more exciting: The owner showed us his passion project - a storage full of beautiful and unique puzzles! If you are lucky enough he will take you to the other side of the street, and you will have a glimpse of the Puzzle King’s extraordinary collection!

This cozy little store is full of locally made crafts, eco food and lovely paintings. The owners will open the shop for you even if it is closed. Really worth a visit. Ps. Try their syrups with the goat cheese🍯🍪
