If you are into anything historical, this is a great spot to visit. The site itself is not very large with a small museum attached but it was able to sate my historical appetite. You are able to see the layout of a small city that is fairly quickly visited, I would suggest visiting as part of a day trip to the surrounding valley and vineyards.

We had to go not very far from Veleia, so we took advantage of the beautiful day to visit the archaeological area. The site, well maintained, is not very large, but still interesting. The area is quiet, the small "museum" is still pleasant and some pieces are curious. If you are in the area, it is worth a visit.

Small archaeological area, nevertheless interesting.

Beautiful Veleia

A nice trip to this small archaeological site, to spend a few hours in tranquility and beauty. Worth visiting is the attached museum with exhibits on display. Near the excavations there is a small church where in May they prepare the flower display, which is really very well set up.
