This is an Amish owned family business. The entire family works. They create signs, baskets, flowers of various sizes, crosses, Christmas items, the works. If you ask they will show you their work area in the back. I have been there now three times in a bit over a year and love everything I have purchased. Mrs. Miller, the matriarch, is engaging and very friendly and explains how each item is crafted. The prices are reasonable and it is quite easy to find, just down the road from Rise n Roll Bakery and Cafe. This is the place for lovely, unique gifts.

LaVern and Rachel are very welcoming and such a joy to talk to! We stopped in and ended up staying over an hour. Purchased a beautiful casserole basket and Family carving with scripture. Saw them again at the flea market and purchased two cutting/serving boards. Expert craftsmanship and beautiful work!

I had made arrangements with the owner Laverne, and they were ready for our group of 40. First, we saw the behind-the-scenes workroom how the products are made and finished at various stations. Then, we went to the table where Rachel, the owner's wife and creative force behind it all, puts together their wood baskets that look like weaving. And finally, we went to the showroom where all the finished products are displayed -- baskets, nativity scenes many on rotating bases which play tunes, animals with interlocking pieces (like a puzzle), and much more.
Laverne and Rachel were so accommodating and very pleasant. It was a very enjoyable stop.

We discovered Teaberry Wood Products last year and knew we had to return during this trip. Mrs. Miller was our hostess and guide and we could have stayed much longer not just looking at all the "products" but going back and forth on what to purchase (definitely another basket) and, even more, listening to Mrs. Miller's description of the newest items -- coming soon! We'll be ordering those (not giving away what they are) as well!

These hand-crafted baskets are amazing! We visited their little shop, located between Middlebury & Shipshewana (not hard to find at all). Almost all of the work is done by the Amish lady who owns it & a couple of younger Amish girls who work with her (when they have really big, heavy pieces of wood to handle, a couple of Amish guys do that for them). Besides baskets, 1 of the girls does exquisite scroll saw work. I bought 2 baskets & 1 scroll saw item. Considering the quality & attention to detail, prices are very reasonable. I much prefer Teaberry baskets to the Sonshine baskets (which are more of a traditional woven basket) because the Teaberry baskets are more heavy-duty & have a nice, thick wooden rim around the top with built-in handles. Also with the Teaberry baskets, no 2 are exactly alike & each basket is signed, numbered & dated by the maker. If you are interested in Amish baskets, this place most definitely deserves a look!

This is one of the best places we visited. We have been there several times. When we visit this area we always find time to stop in and see what's new. The owners are so kind and gracious to all their visitors and there products are a work if art!

We first stopped here on our Blue Gate Up Close & Personal tour and talked to LaVern and he explained what they do and how everything works there. We liked what we saw. and came back the next day. We talked to Rachel and had a real nice conversation about their Boston Terriers and their products. We ended up buying a few pieces that we really liked. Every piece is unique, signed and numbered. Definitely recommend stopping here.
