This really is not a fair review. It was off season and nothing was open. We were on our way somewhere else or we would not have made a special trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our boat ride down the historic Indiana canal. Not a long ride, but the boat is pulled by Belgium horses with rope lines just like the original canal boat. In fact, the horses are State employees! The narrator was excellent and had...More

The Ben Franklin canal boat is an amazing part of indiana history. The boat is pulled by a team of draft horses along a restored part of the old canal system. The narrarators provide lots of detailed history along the trip. We visit annually and...More

This was such a cool experience! Stan, the tour guide, was so knowledgeable and answered lots of questions. It was amazing hearing the history and seeing the horses pulling the whole boat!! Everyone that goes to Metamora has to try this!!

I drove 500 miles for this boat ride. No one on the Whitewater Valley Train tells you it isn't functioning, either. We were extremely disappointed to learn of the structural issues.

This is a great opportunity on so many levels. The historian will appreciate the rare chance to capture the essence of travel over a century ago. Kids will thrill to the horse powered boat. Architects might enjoy observing the unique aqueduct that carries the canal...More
