Squire Boone Caverns is a natural wonder attraction that provides guests a respite from their plugged-in, technology heavy lives. Squire Boone, American pioneer and legend, discovered the caverns in 1790 and soon built a thriving settlement centered around Boone's Mill, which is still operating today. Rich in history and geological wonders, guests to the Caverns will leave with plans to visit again and again. Along with the cave tour and Historic Boone's Mill, activities at the Caverns include: Indiana's Largest Rock Shop and Gem-Mining Sluice, the Soap Shop, Hannah Boone's Candle Shop, homemade sweets and savory lunch options at the kitchen and a nature trail to simply take some time out. For the adventurous, make a reservation for the Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventure. The tree-top canopy course is family-friendly (a smaller zipline course is available for those who may not meet the height requirements). The complete tour through the beautiful grounds at Squire Boone Caverns includes 6 canopy zip lines and a swinging suspension bridge. Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventures is ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) certified for installation, maintenance and operation, so you can feel secure and concentrate on having fun!

The drive to the Caverns was beautiful. We came in from the south and took Pleasant Grove Road to get to Squire Boone Road. It was narrow and winding and picturesque. We arrived at the Caverns seeing the Grist Mill as we drove by and were amazed. The setting of all the log cabins for the shops was great. We... More

Took a trip to visit southern Indiana and stopped by Squire Boone Caverns, Prices seemed a little high, but not much higher than any other attraction in the area. Cave was nice and cool on a hot day and the guide was knowledgeable. All and all a good time was had.

Me and my 7 year old daughter had a great time. The cave tour is expensive but is beautiful to see. You will enjoy the cave but save some time for visiting the candle shop, the soap making shop and the grist mill. The prices in the shops were surprisingly low. You can even dip your own candle, which my... More

Thank You so much for visiting and the review. The 73 stairs can be a bit of a challenge but I'm amazed how kids can do the stairs so easy. More

This is one of the most beautiful caves I've seen. There are loads of wonderful formations. There is also a rustic village with shops, a mill and scavenger hunt for the kids. There is some history to the place as well. The price was much higher than most caves. Our tour guide was on her third day and didn't have... More

Nice one tank trip from Indianapolis area. We took our 2 G-sons to visit their 8-great Uncle Squire's grave site and cavern. It was beautiful, fun and educational. We went in the middle of the week and there were no crowds in the village. There is a nice Gift Shop, Lunch Room and Grist Mill to visit at Squire Village... More

It's always wonderful to have Squire's relatives come to visit. He was such a great pioneer and leader. We are very proud to have the cave named after him. Thank you for coming and thank you for your review. More

Such a unique cave. The waterfall was awesome and the formations were crazy. The tour guide (autumn) really knew her stuff and gave lots of info!

I went with my son and a child to Squire Boone Caverns; the cave trip is about right for a small child as the tour lasted about an hour. We all found it interesting and enjoyable. The only downside is the spiral stairway that you have to climb to get in and out of the cave. We found that we... More

This is a great place to bring the whole family. 83 stairs down and back up from the cave on a spiral staircase not exactly bad knee friendly. Plenty for the kids to do. Look for discounts online costs add up quick if you want to do everything.

This was our first cave tour. My husband, and 2 boys age 8 and 9 went. The stairs were a little dizzying, but once down them it was beautiful. At first I felt like we were rushing through, but on the way back is when we stopped and learned a lot and took our time. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.... More
