Stopped by for a tour with my husband. I had not been here is over 20 years & he had never been. Maybe it's just an off time of year but the tour guides we had were lacking. They have added concrete walks & handrails everywhere which detract from the beauty. Some of the cave is now nearly dark and... More

We had a wonderful guide named Phil. This guy really knew his stuff! His excitement was obvious and he was very knowledgeable. We had visited a couple of caves before but this is our favorite now. Take both of the tours if you have time. If you have to choose one take Crystal Palace. It is a shorter tour but... More

Had a wonderful time. Took our 3 boys, 5,7,8. They thought it was so cool. We did the 40 minute tour, and it was perfect for them. They didn't get bored, which was a surprise. They asked questions and really enjoyed it! We took part in the 'mining' for gems and fossils afterwards. They loved that as well and definitely... More

It was great to have your family visit Marengo cave. Will forward to your next visit to see the Drip Stone Trail side of the cave, the boys will enjoy that, we have penny ceiling on that side. The gem stone mining is always a hit. Thanks for the 5* review. More

First experience of a cave for the grandkids, they enjoyed the short adventure. I do hate the high cost of visiting caves, I guess they have there cost as well. Nice cave adventure. Would only do this once.

Glad you brought your grandkids to visit Marengo Cave. We actually do put a lot of the admission fee back into improving the cave and the grounds. Thanks for the 4* review. We you love to have you come back. More

This was our second time coming and we loved it just as we did the first time. Our guide for our tour was Justin Denton. He was very informative as well as funny and had our group laughing at little jokes here and there. Highly recommend. One thing to point out is to wear shoes that are worth getting dirty.... More

Thanks for the 5* review. Glad you came back to visit Marengo Cave, and had a great time. Justin is new this year and does a great job. Most of the time there is little mud in the cave, but when it has rained a lot we will get some water. Look forward to you next trip. More

We did the combo tour, which was really nice as I don't think I could have picked one over the other. The tours move along at a good pace, but considering the length of the cave to cover this is expected. I felt like I was able to get the pictures I wanted when I wanted. when you come up... More

The Dripstone and Crystal Palace caves were fantastic. The tour guide, Phil, did a great job. He was very Informative, funny, and patient with the kids in the group. He told a lot of jokes and puns, and really seems to enjoy what he's doing. The price is reasonable and the tours are a nice length.

If you've never been to a cave before and want to see what it's like without having to crawl to do it, this is a good place for that. We took both tours - Crystal Palace (45 min) and Dripstone Trail (60 min). If you had to choose one, I recommend the Dripstone Trail as it has a few more... More

Thanks for your 4* review of Marengo Cave. Glad you enjoyed the tours. There are a lot of neat formations on both tours. Small children do better if they are not hunger or need a nap. The mosquitos must be worse this year, we have never had any one to complain about them on the porch. So you could bring... More

My wife and I took our daughter and granddaughter to this cave and we all loved it. There are two tours that you can go on. Both are guided tours. One is about 45 min. long and the other is about 1 hour and 30 min. long. We did both tours and they were great. This cave has more formations... More

Nicely done caves tours.....there are two walking tours, one of about an hour, the other, 40 minutes. Some steps, so keep that in mind. Lot's of goodies in the gift shop.
