You have the option to go on the Crystal Palace tour or the Dripstone tour or both. Choose both for 2 different cave experiences. The Crystal palace is the shorter tour however it has more formations and they are gorgeous. Dripstone is a longer tour that takes you to a different part of the cave with less overall formations but... More

I was beyond impressed with my visit to Marengo Cave. So much history, and so much to see. This cavern easily has some of the best formations I've ever seen to this day! Definitely worth the money for admission, and worth the drive from any distance. Our tour guide was Dani, and she was just awesome! She was very informative,... More

This was a wonderful experience, our first time in a cave. Larry was our tour guide and he did a great job. He was very patient with the children who asked him many questions! It was really cool to see. We did the dripstone and crystal palace. I thought the dripstone was better but my son thought the crystal palace... More

Thanks for the 5* review on Trip Advisor. Our cave is a wonderful place to start your love of caves. Larry loves the cave and it shows on his tours. Usually children are so in awe of the cave that they really enjoy it. The break between the two tours helps them also. Look forward to seeing your family in... More

The cave was bigger than we anticipated. There are two different walking tours to see it all. We preferred the Crystal Palace tour because of the reflecting pools. They were amazing! The water is extra heavy with magnesium that creates a mirrored effect. But the formations and history of the cave were fascinating too. Good for couples and families. Lots... More

Thanks for the 4 * review. Marengo Cave is a mile long on the Dripstone Trail and 1/3 of a mile on the Crystal Palace side, but very easy walking. Glad you enjoyed both sides of the cave, Crystal Palace has the larger formations and very pretty colors. Look forward to seeing your family again. More

Went on January 20th, 2017 and we were the only people there so we got a personalized tour of the Dripstone Cave by our personal tour guide, Phil. He was obviously very knowledgeable about the cave and showed us things we would have missed on our own. Great experience. Thanks, Phil

Glad you came to visit Marengo Cave, the winter time is a great time to come. We are less busy so the tours are usually smaller. Phil loves his job and the cave, enjoys telling our guest about the formations and the history. Thanks for the 5 star review. More

Took my son here for a road trip and had a great time! I would recommend this trip to most folks. Someone who I might not recommend would be new parents with small children. This naturally is a small place and if your kids are tired, needing a nap, or wanting held all day, prob not a good trip. The... More

Thanks for the 5* review, this is a great place for families to come. So glad your son and you enjoyed the tours. Looking forward to seeing you again. We have the cawing tours in the summertime on Saturday. Your son may enjoy doing that, you get wet & mudding. We have hot showers afterwards. More

We were unsure how much fun this trip would be, I'm afraid of the dark, and bugs, and bats, and getting trapped underground. Great tour guide, Dani she was very informative and you can tell she loves her job! She made our tour wonderful, we will be coming back later! She even showed us 2 different bats in the cave.... I wasn't sure how I'd feel once in the caves and I am SO glad I went anyway. Really cool. The structures in the cave were so interesting. There are a few tight spaces but in general I didn't feel like I was cramped. Really worthwhile

This was a fun experience. Take both of the walking tours that they offer. It was beautiful inside and the guide was very nice. She was very informative and new what she was talking about. The formations here are gorgeous and it was a really wonderful experience.

The overall experience was nice. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the facts and history of the cave. Take both tours if you have the time. Both are very interesting and amazing in the grand size of this underground world below us. We were there in November and not crowded at all.
