About
We're Lanthier Winery & Distillery, and we've been a winery here in Madison, IN, since 1994 and added our distillery in 2020. We offer wine, distilled spirits, slushies, outdoor seating, free wine tasting, and much more. We are a short drive from Columbus, Seymour, Indianapolis, Clarksville and Jeffersonville Indiana as well as Louisville and Cincinnati and the surrounding areas. We'd like to personally invite you to stop and experience a far away feeling close enough to taste! Make a special point to join us any day from Thanksgiving to Christmas when we are open 7 days a week from 9a-6p Sun-Thurs and 9a-7p on Friday and Saturdays. You'll see one of the Nations top 10 Christmas tree displays with more than 900 magnificent theme trees joined by one of the tri states largest angel displays during our Host of Angels. Sip on free samples of warm Rudy Red or taste any of our limited release holiday wine and spirits. They are only available during the season until sold out!

You have to go to this winery during the holidays to see the Festival of Christmas Trees if nothing else. The inside of the winery is small but there are 2 floors of unique Christmas trees to see. It’s all free of course as is the wine tasting. While tasting wine we were offered several suggestions according to our tastes which helped us decide on a wine(actually 2) to bring home. They certainly don’t skimp on the amount of wines you can taste. Do stay to see the outside lit up with Christmas lights that are stunning. We came back to walk the grounds to view all the lights at night.

Easily one of my favorite wineries in the state. The garden alone was worth the trip to Madison, especially in fall/winter time. The staff is extremely personable and helped make our group feel right at home during our visit/tasting.
After the tasting, I got a few bottles of the Rudolf Red to share with some coworkers.... and now they are planning trips as well. Can't say enough about this winery and the town of Madison!

Every year during the holidays Lanthier has the festival of Christmas trees. We try to make an effort to visit each year to view these beautiful trees. This year they had 953 trees. OK, some of them were small but they do have quite a few imaginative creations there. Remember it’s a winery so they have free samples of wine to choose from. Their wines may be a bit pricey but they are very good or so the ones we sampled were. We always come back with a bottle or two for the holidays. The staff there is very helpful and friendly.

Best place to visit in Madison Indiana!
The customer service is the best and the wine is amazing.
They have started distilling vodka and are getting ready to do gin. Their vodka slushies and wine slushies are fantastic, and so refreshing on a hot day.
They have a lot of seating in the garden and it’s one of the most beautiful gardens you will see around.

Back to visit my favorite winery in all the US. They make every visit special; such great people, wonderful wine & spirits, stunning gardens fens and truly unique and interesting art galleries- inside and out! Go visit Lanthier Winery and Distillery!

I have always come here during their festival of the trees during the holidays but today I wandered through their incredible outdoor garden area. This has developed into such an impressive space to just sit and sip some wine. And they do have some really good wines of which I have a couple of bottles at home currently. Although I came alone this visit to Madison I plan to bring my wife back for some wine or one of their slushies.

Absolutely beautiful garden and very welcoming environment. If you love cats they have 3 cats. You can purchase a glass of wine and walk in the garden, taking in the beautiful flowers and beautiful view. If you love Christmas I definitely recommend coming during Christmas to see the garden lit up and all the Christmas trees.

Lovely little winery. The gardens were magnificent, but packed with high school kids in their prom attire taking photos, so we opted to stay inside. Wines were decent, you can sample five for free. Inside is small, but fun and quirky with lots of artwork for sale.

We did a wine tasting with Debbie Kroger. She was great! Helped us with wines to take home. Beautiful garden to enjoy our delicious wine. Highly recommend visiting this winery and enjoying the atmosphere

My visit was so much fun. We toured the garden and got to have 5 complimentary tastings which is unheard of anymore. I loved the blackberry and the Mill street red. I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff was so friendly and they have great seating outside to enjoy your wine.
