We decided to take the tour after stopping at the Visitor's Center. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and even my 9 year old son enjoyed it.

The Lanier Home is absolutely beautiful & a historical landmark which is worth touring, in my opinion. The spiral staircase is stunning. And if you don't have time to do the paid tour, the grounds & landscaping is so pretty.

We are history buffs so this was a must see for us. Our tour guide Bill was a wealth of information. The house was in the family for years and was never really updated with 20th century modern conveniences. The river view is beautiful.
