Had an enjoyable time on the lake. Rented a pontoon boat and took out some adults and teenagers to enjoy the water and sun. Teenagers were able to tube and had a good time. Water was nice temperature and clean.

We stayed at an Inn on this lake for the 4th of July. Nice fireworks display over it. Boat rentals at the Inn and nearby marinas but no speed boats or wave runners that we could find. Even with it being a holiday, there were not too many boats on the lake to have a good time should you rent... More

Largest of several lakes in the city of Laporte. Enjoyed by fishermen, water skiers and nature lovers. Connected by a channel to Stone Lake which has a beautiful beach area and walking trails. Several hotels within walking distance for out of town visitors.

Took our dog for a lakefront walk and hung out on the beach for a while. Leaves turning. Very peaceful and pretty spot.

This is a GREAT lake, Clean, big enough to enjoy all the watersports and fishing but overcrowded like many Michigan lakes. Also, lake connects to stone lake and that is a no-wake lake with a great beach. Good boat launches, good because, safe for kids, Great fishing, everyones pretty respectful of everyone else.

A very lovely spot to spend some time. Quiet, and west facing so enjoy the sunset here. On the east side of the lake are some great places to plan your next trip, very unexpected and relaxing !!!

I was able to take a walk around the lake and get some photos. The parks in La Porte are beautiful with trails that meander and give you a range of floral and fauna experiences.

Shoreline fishing is hard to come by at this very nice smaller lake. Bait can be purchased at the local 7/11. Fishing boats rented from a local marina, and are really needed if you expect to catch any fish! There is a beach for the kiddies, very empty during the week, and some picnic tables scattered around and plenty of... More
