What a great part of Aussie history. Didn't even know this was here. A great surprise! Did you know the emu plume was first picked up by the Light Horse troopers stationed in Capella pre WW1? Wow!

We were passing through town and saw the steel cut outs in the park depicting the Light Horse Brigade. The park was beautiful and the cut outs were very moving. It was interesting to read that Capella claims that the wearing of the Emu Feathers in the soldiers slouch hats had originated in the town from a group of Light Horsemen who had shot an emu and put the feathers in their hat.

Money worth spent , Beautiful display of iron work of the horses and soldiers. The whole garden was very moving to a country town I was there for 11 11 11 , I was the only one there . It’s like the whole town forgot or just couldn’t be bothered to turn up and pay their respects. I was so taken back . Sham to all the local residents

This is a great venue for smaller type shows - this is the 2nd time we have seen David Strassman and Ted E Bare at this venue - and both times we have loved it. The tickets were booked from afar and as promised were waiting at the desk for pickup, The drinks are reasonably priced and they had a mobile food van set up outside. Brilliant coffee and chocolate cake - thankyou.
