I was in a quick visit to the hotel as a part of my plan for my wedding.
The property is amazing too beautiful too peaceful like really something wow.
While i was there I’ve noticed how they take extra care of the cleanliness specially during this current situation, they spray everywhere sanitizing every touch point.
Salman the supervisor from the front office was really helpful. All staff were wearing masks and gloves keeping the social meters distance.
The extra care they apply regarding the current crisis is really what made me feel save and comfortable.
Will see you soon to experience more.

The zoo requires more animals. The guided bus tour was poor, it's the same animals which I think was camels and ostriches? And a small section of monkey's . I know it's a hot place but the animals looked lethargic and sad, more care needed for the animals...possibly more shelter too. The only happy looking and energetic animal was the chimpanzees in the indoor section. My daughter liked it which all that mattered...but I'd only go back there for her.

This is not a reserve, it's a zoo, with animals in cages. I almost cried seeing the disperation of two brown bears trapped in a cage under the sun if the desert.
The Lions and other feline where clearly sad and depressed.
The only animals who seemed to be happy were the camels and the goats but you don't need to pay a ticket to see them around Bahrein.

Dont waste your time goin to Al Areen Park Bahrain. The ticket price has increased to 2 BD and no wild animals like tiger lion hyna etc you will only see some almost dead falmingos, eagles, vultures, goat, hen, sheep tortoises etc. total waste of money and time not worth even if its free total waste of 2 BD. DONT VISIT!!

This is the worst zoo I have ever been to. Heartbreaking to see animals clearly not looked after, some of the sheep could hardly walk their hooves were so overgrown, wild dogs that basically looked like pet Salukis to me, that clearly were very very underweight, a sad lonely brown bear in a far too small enclosure. They clearly spend more time looking after the gardens than they do the poor animals who have unfortunately found themselves existing as I wouldn’t call it living in this absolute hell hole. Any animal lovers, please don’t visit, it will be too upsetting. Also the children visiting clearly have no care or respect, shouting at and trying to scare a pelican that was loose in the grounds, with parents just letting them. Wish I’d never visited the place 😢

The park is lacking real maintenance. The water for the ducks was so grim and dirty. Most of the enclosures were run down, rusty and missing proper infrastructures and daily cleaning.

On top of that there is no information signs providing key details on what we see except for some very old, barely readable signs that just give you the name of the species.
Finally, the park keeps two dogs enclosed on display which have nothing to do there.

This park needs a real upgrade if they want to align with the current world situation that need to raise awareness and bringing people to look after the wild life to love and protect it.

This place is not a nature reserve, more of a zoo only for display without much care about the animals living there.

Terrible place, waste of 2 BD per person. I went with my family of 7 person to see wild animals because my kids wanted to see but there was not a single wild animal.
Only some dead flamingoes and some birds, total waste of time energy and money, waste of time and patrol to go there even if it is free....

I am an Animal Lover, and was very exited to go to this "Sanctuary" I attended yesterday with my husband and friends. We where very disappointed to see how badly this animals are taken care of. The basic things they need to survive which is WATER! was barely there, specially in this hot weather in Bahrain. What kind of place is this ? there where many animals that you can tell they where stress! Over heated! it was a terrible feeling to Not be able to do anything about it. Most places where it was supposed to be fill with water there was barely any, and if there was it was so Dirty you couldn't see it was water. I sadly witness how the porcupine where taking turns in dipping their little paws in a small spot of water, prob about a gallon of dirty water. The turtles where not even able to get wet with the water they had, The Bear was so stress walking back and forth over heated! so where the lions. the deers, gazelles etc. had big tubs for water, But they where empty! I don't understand! instead of 20 employees siting in the air conditioner room selling ice cream! go to work and take care of this animals!!!! I left with a pain in my heart seeing this negligence! I can't even explain how terrible it was! The pony, looked so sick! and you can tell his hair was not brushed in a long time, it had knots and dry spots every where! the leopard looked like a scare, sick cat hiding under its rock. I hope they take care of this place! I don't see how people describe it above as amazing! or something to teach kids. what are you teaching them? to let the animals in the heat suffer????

For an animal lover this is not the place to go.
Whilst I appreciate the need for education and for conservation this place needs to concentrate its efforts on the animals and their welfare. There are unsuitable species being held there and in extreme heat of summer the enclosures are small and insufficient and lacking the basics ie water. The animals were showing signs of distress and stress.
With good welfare management and selective species adaptable to this unforgiving heat of summer, this park could may be turn things around. However, encouraging the visitors to recognise and look after their own environment by picking up their litter and general debris would be a start; for the place was also noticeably dirty.
If this wildlife park really wants to make its mark for the better, it has a long way to go.

What is happening in the park is a total crime! How, how, how can a wealthy country, that welcomes tourists from all around the world, keep animals not living but EXISTING like vegetables and waiting until they just die. Moreover, I am sure they will easily be replaced by another group of hopeless creatures.
Wild, excited behaviour of visitors shows that those are not captivated animals who are wild but humans!
