The replicas of steamboats are impressive to view. Period furnishings in the museum demonstrate the grandness of the era and wealth of steamboat owners. Make sure to visit the parlor as it was my favorite room in the house. There was a display of period...More

Definitely worth a trip. Hidden gem dedicated to preserving steam boat history. I did the guided tour. Kadie was enthusiastic and informative. Worth the wait if necessary. After I was still able to walk about on my own and read some of the plentiful information....More

Nice old home of a steamboat mogul with beautiful wood designs all over with maritime themes. Ornate rooms with matching chandeliers that may have inspired the room design. Older woman docent very knowledgeable and loves to tell the history.

This is a neat little museum located on the river in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The yard looks like a graveyard for steamship pieces, but it's cool to see them so close up. The information inside is great if you're interested in the steamboat era.
