- Dee Smith8 contributionsThe Escape Room IndianapolisAbsolutely an amazing time!!! Highly recommend for all ages. T our instructor was awesome and provided the right enough support. Had a blast with my husband. Bank heist was so much fun!!! ❤️ However, we failed it. Ran out of time and sooooooo close!!!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 7, 2023

- Buttercup JIndianapolis, Indiana3 contributionsAn Excellent Downtown Brain Buster 🤔We had a blast! T, our guide, was excellent. We solved the easiest puzzle with 6 minutes to spare. It was a real brain buster! The puzzle itself was well put together and the theme was great - it was surprisingly a big puzzle too! We will definitely go again for a more advanced puzzle now that we know how escape rooms work. Pleasant atmosphere and waiting room, easy to get signed up, and it's among some of the cheaper options to do in downtown Indianapolis.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 19, 2023
- Excursion590009150375 contributionsHotel service excellent here..Our recent sojourn at Niraamaya Retreats 5-star hotel was an exploration of an epicurean paradise, where opulent rooms provided the perfect backdrop for indulgence. Yet, it was Chef Aman's culinary tapestry that truly defined the essence of our experience. Chef Aman's ability to weave a culinary tale with every dish was exceptional. The harmonious blend of flavors, the creative presentation, and the meticulous attention to detail made each meal a culinary masterpiece. Our stay became a gastronomic adventure, thanks to Chef Aman's dedication to creating an epicurean paradise. We extend our sincere gratitude to Chef Aman for making our dining experience a highlight of our luxurious retreat. His culinary tapestry added an extra layer of magic to our 5-star journey.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 25, 2023

- Meng Z1 contributionSo creative and fun!My first escape room was an incredible experience! The only thing I would change about the Dark Wyvern Mining one is to make the rooms slightly brighter (or some well-selected lights brighter). We all questioned our eyesight in dim light multiple times and struggled to read. The associate Brian who supervised our journey explained things so clearly and has a great sense of humor. I really look forward to the next time.Visited November 2023Traveled with friendsWritten November 8, 2023

As I navigated through the challenging, immersive scenarios, the thrill of solving riddles and uncovering hidden clues was an experience unlike any other. The adrenaline rush as I unlocked each mystery was palpable, making the solo venture incredibly rewarding. Amidst the thrill of solving puzzles, I found myself craving some moments of relaxation and leisure. During my downtime, I indulged in browsing VapeVilla.com, a trusted online destination for purchasing vapes. With a vast array of options, from sleek devices to an extensive collection of flavors, VapeVilla.com offered a convenient way to explore and select top-quality vapes. After successfully unraveling the final enigma at The Escape Room Indianapolis, I treated myself to a delightful vaping session, savoring the flavors I'd ordered from VapeVilla.com. The seamless online shopping experience and the anticipation of trying out new flavors added an extra layer of enjoyment to my victorious solo trip. We laughed so hard, screamed a little, and definitely scurried. Thomas was our room guide and made it an adventure to remember, loved his voice "from above"!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 18, 2023

We had a great time! First and foremost, we felt very safe. Everything was clean. Lots of hand sanitizer, we had to wash our hands before entering and masks were required upon entering. We were the only group at the time. We did the art gallery room and got out with 4 minutes to spare. The room was challenging and we had to use several clues to get out. Chorsie was our guide and did a fabulous job explaining the rules and giving hints. He was very personable.

We went to play Contagion. There was confusion over having someone start in the locked room which in hindsight might have improved our game. We were also instructed not to use the microscope and centrifuge until prompted. We had the slides for the microscope out for at least 5 minutes before we were told we could use the microscope, huge waste of time. Puzzles were a little repetitive. We failed but there was a lot of waiting with our GM not noticing we had the slides out for the microscope which wasted a lot of time. Our GM was Oona. Production value was good but a lot of confusion and repetitive puzzles.

We visited with our family of four on 7/3/20. I was the only one who had not done an escape room before so I was a little nervous. The staff was welcoming from the beginning and I was relieved at the level of safety - all employees were masked and we were asked to wash our hands upon arrival. We did jail break. It was the perfect balance of challenging, but doable for two adults and two teenagers. We did have to get a few hints, but I'd much rather do that than have it be too easy. Shannon was a great guide. She joked with us, ensured that we had all of the info that we needed, and was patient with all of my newbie questions. We definitely plan to return a try another room. Good, low risk pandemic entertainment option that will also keep your brain from atrophying if you attend with only people you live with.

We did the Art Gallery escape room which is intermediate level and it is great for beginners. We didn't quite get out but never got stuck for more than a few minutes thanks to our room advisor Sam. Her three clues were helpful enough to keep moving but not so much so that she completely gave away the answers. We would love to come and try another room the next time we are in Indianapolis.

The Escape Room Indianapolis was a fantastic experience for me and my coworkers this past week. Our team building exercise became such a fun time with coworkers, really showing how we all deal with new situations and how to problem solve as a group. Our team separated out into two groups and competed in who would get done first. The rooms were challenging and interesting, with my group doing Contagion and the other doing Bank Heist. I won't spoil the room, but there were some great twists and turns! T was our room guide and was incredibly knowledgeable and professional with out group, helping us when asked and providing some helpful clarifying hints when necessary. I know our team is hoping to schedule another outing, which was very easy with the helpful staff in aligning our large group across different rooms. I couldn't recommend it more.

Absolutely great experience! My coworkers and I did this as a team building exercise and it was an amazing way to learn how to communicate well and effectively with one another. We were soooo close to getting out but all in all a great experience. Without the help and direction of our host, Maggie, we would not have made it as far as we did. I will definitely be back soon!

It was entirely enthralling and invigorating to try and solve a mystery with a group of good friends.
Our guide, Mitchell, was very helpful and challenging at the same time. We will highly recommend both the venue and this particular guide to anyone looking for a more entertaining alternative to a dinner and a movie!

The room itself was amazing. electronic components, problem solving components, and lasers. It was great to be in an escape room that you were kind of the bad guy, had to be quiet in certain rooms, and really felt like a complete challenge. Unfortunately we got put in a room with a group of people that all knew each other and they really excluded me and my son from getting to experience much. One of them was even so aggressive to grab something my son discovered out of his hands. Moral of the story, try to have a group big enough to have the room to yourself. I won't blame the facility for that since they can't control that.
The staff were all very friendly even though it was a busy weekend and you could tell that they were tired.
Overall they really provided a great room that was fun even if an overly aggressive other person did what they could to ruin it.

Mickey like the mouse was a great host! With her professional supervision, guidance from the CDC, and analytical analysis compiled by the World Health Organization (you know...WHO) we managed to find the cure for the recent pandemic affecting our world!! You’re welcome. Feel free to send all of your thanx, love, and tacos to Evil Genius Taco Club.

What parking is available? Street, garage? And do they verify parking?
Written May 6, 2019
Parking for the downtown location is available on the street, and nearby lots and garages within short walks. They go not verify parking. We paid $5 parking in a lot right next to the location. on our most recent visit. It was for all day so we were able to walk around downtown and not worry about extra parking charges.

I would think having is groupof 6-8 May be more fun
Written June 18, 2018
The max they allowed for our room was 10. We had 7 that were supposed to come, but ended up with 5. We solved our room. It just depends on how much you're willing to work with everyone, how fast you're able to find the clues, and complete the puzzles.

I have a total of 8 in our family group that I would love to surprise with this event! Can I purchase tickets now and then use them when we can all get our schedules to match or should I wait until our schedules match to purchase event tickets?
Written December 24, 2017
You can buy gift certificates usable any time.
Written December 24, 2017
So if there was just 4 of us in our group would more join us or would we get the room to ourselves?
Written November 12, 2017
If you don’t buy all the tickets in the room someone else may buy the remaining tickets.
Written December 24, 2017
The cost is $29 per person

We went to the KGB room on Sunday the 27th at 3:30 and I'd like to write a good review about our hosts but can't remember their names, think it might have been Ethan and Jake maybe, can anyone help?
Written November 29, 2016
Yes Ethan and Jake are both staff members
Written November 30, 2016
Are there "starting times" for the rooms? i.e. 12pm - 2pm, or 4pm to 6pm. ?
Do you pick up & drop off at nearby hotels?
How do we dress for the event
Written October 21, 2016
Yes, you have to schedule a start time in advance - most of them are hourly, with a ten minute grace period in case you end up running late. Wear something casual that you can move around easily in. The activity isn't strenuous, but there is some reaching, crouching, and other mild movement in order to find clues. The Escape Room does not offer transportation, but check with your hotel. If you are downtown Indianapolis, everything is very walkable. There are also many parking garages in the immediate area.
Written October 24, 2016
We recommend an age of at least 10 years old. People have done with kids as young as 8 and they have had a good time. Ultimately. You make the call on whether they can understand it and not keep someone else from having fun!
